Friday Sketchers Week 61

This post for Friday Sketchers challenge is very special to me and although I always put lots of love into all my cards, this was probably the most love I have EVER put into one. My twin sister is moving and I wanted to make her something very special. She is moving 1400kms away (over 850miles) and we have never been that far away from each other for more then a week (we're 37). OMG I already miss her!! We are so extremely close and I think we're both still in denial!! Oh yes and so is my mom. Thanks Jacqueline for the beautiful sketch. I really enjoyed the challenge as I'm sure this is the first time I have ever "OMG" cut the front half of my card!! LOL!

2 Challenges in 1 - Yay!

So yesterday I took a mere 4 hours to come up with this cutie patootie. Ya, only 4 - OMG!! Anyway, at least I got 2 challenges into it. The sketch from Magnolicious Highlites July Challenge and A Spoon Full of Sugar "Hearts" challenge. Love my new charms I got from The Hobby House but YIKES expensive. That's ok - I have enough to last me awhile now. LOVE THEM!!! Enjoy!

All The Things I Love Blog Candy

ps - the beer is a beer eyelet. Hilarious or what?!!

Sketch Saturday #58

Today I followed the Sketch Saturday challenge for my Magnolia journal I am creating for myself. More pieces to follow and explanation of WHAT journal however, in the meantime I needed some inspiration. Just loved this sketch!! Papers once again Basic Grey, rub-on swirls from Glitz, Prima flowers, misc ribbon, Martha Stewart border punch, stickles and colored one of my favorite Magnolia stamps with Copics.

Sugar Bowl Challenge but not really

I can't believe I just did this!! I used the Sugar Bowl sketch with a Magnolia stamp. Guess I should have read the rules closer cuz to qualify it has to be a Sugar Nellie stamp!! ROTFLMAO!! Oh well, not a HUGE loss cuz I am making a journal and was stuck on this page anyway. The sketch was a great inspiration. The DP paper is Basic Grey and the HOPE stamp is from Scrappy Cat and a BIG thanks to my friend Sherry for sending this set to me. You have no idea what good timing that was and I'll show you why later. I used gold Spica pen to top the pie, glitter dust on her wings & slippers. The brown swirls are from Quickutz & sugar-coated with Stickles. The rub-on swirls are from Glitz design and flowers are from Prima. The border punch I borrowed from my mom and no mom, I'm not done with them yet. hee hee!
