October Kit and Clowder Challenge

Oh my ok I'm just a little behind but have finally gotten a chance to write my post with my card.  LOL!!   This month at Kit and Clowder's monthly challenge our sponsor is Scrapper's Delights and this challenge

ANYTHING GOES!!

So c'mon and play with us!  An easy one this month!  I chose to use this cute Halloween digi image called "Sabrina Witch".

Isn't this the cutest web?!!  #CEL-13  It's a chipboard piece from Southern Ridge Trading Company.  I don't think you'll see too many cards without at least once piece any time soon.  LOL!  I just LOVE them and I've bought all kinds of new things to alter chipboard.  I painted the web first with a black Tim Holtz dauber and then sprayed with a mist after it dried.
I finally got to use some of my STASH!  My Tim Holtz skull and bones and now I have only 5 left.  haaa ha ha ha!

I even added some silver Stickles the buckle on her hat.
Copic colors are listed below.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your weekend!

Happy Birthday!

Today is my stepdaughter's birthday and I cheated a little and asked her if she liked the artist's images before creating this card for her.  I directed her to the site and she said "just 1?".  LOL!!  So, it was nice to play with a fun image and this one is called "Lucy Loo" from TheEastWind.

The papers are from Pion Designs and ironically I just realized they are called "My Precious Daughter".  ha ha ha!  The cute tassel is from Prima and the pen nib on my butterfly (hiding behind my bouquet of flowers) is from Tim Holtz.

The pretty frame (#FRA-10) is from Southern Ridge Trading Company and I added TH rock candy to distress it and then some painted it with Gesso.

The big flower is from Prima and the gorgeous center is from Live and Love Crafts, as is the resin butterfly.  I added some TH ink first to deepen the color in the crevasses and then daubed some TH paint lightly over-top.

The gorgeous laces and rolled flower are from Live and Love Crafts.  The purple lace was very light pink but I sprayed it with Prima's Color Bloom "Iris".  I just love these spray mists they are incredible!

This image took me FOREVER to color but it was worth it.  As always there were a few spots I wanted to go back to but TOO LATE!   LOL!

Well being that it's Friday you all enjoy the weekend and thank you so much for stopping by!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARA!

Santa Is Coming!!

I know I know isn't it horrifying to note how close xmas is again already?!!  I thought this year I would get ahead but pffft - that is soooo not happening!!  LOL!!  I didn't make a lot of cards for xmas yet but when Michele put out these new "Santa Is Coming" papers I couldn't WAIT to create!

These are just gorgeous digi papers to play with from Michele R Designs and what I like?  INSTANT GRATIFICATION!!  Print off a few from the collection and away you go!!  And with me living in a small town where there is NO store it's WONDERFUL!

This incredible guy is from Southern Ridge Trading Company under the Christmas & Holidays category #XMAS - 454.  It's wood, which I luuuuuuuv and all I did was add some ink to the edges to make it pop a bit.

This banner piece is from the Santa is Coming Element Pack 1 and having a few pieces from those element packages really makes it easy to build a card.

Again the little ribbon and tag pieces are from the Santa is Coming Element Pack 1 but the sentiment tag is from the Santa is Coming Element Pack 2.  Don't you love my Prima flower?!  Yup, I know I could probably make these but when I spend so much time making my cards already, it's nice and quick to grab a pre-made gorgeous flower!!

Did you know that Michele R Designs is on Facebook and that there are FREEBIES every Friday?!!  And my OH my they are GORGEOUS!!!

Feels good to post!  It's been awhile and life has been so hectic but I'm hoping it settles down for the winter now.  Famous last words right?!  ha ha ha ha ha!  Thanks for stopping by!

MERRY CHIPBOARD!!

I LOVE CHRISTMAS! Well it might not be the "Christmas" part as much as it is preparing for the holidays. I love making crafts, love decorating (with a glass of wine) and enjoy all the salutations and best wishes we all hand over to each other around the festive season.  Plus, everyone is in such a great mood!  So this is my 2nd Christmas craft of the season so far but my 1st one won't be too far behind I promise!

I've used, what I am calling, a 3D shadow box, KIT-379 from Southern Ridge Trading Co. but it's not very deep, which was perfect for this project.  I covered it with some papers from Maja Designs "Vintage Frost Basics" and then distressed all with Momento cocoa ink.

Ok so get ready for a picture heavy post!  First up is my tree square freaturing XMAS-146 and for this one I covered with a TH paint dauber, added some Frost VersaMark and some UTEE chunky embossing powder.

Here I've done the same thing as above but added some Martha Stewart Texture for snow.

The wreath is a resin piece from Melissa Frances I purchased some time last year and the bells were from a wine charm that I took apart.  ha ha ha!

I've covered all the presents with some more Maja Design papers and distressed with more Momento cocoa ink.  I've also added some Glossy Accents to the bow on the small gift and more Martha Stewart Texture to the bigger one on the left.

Oooo my center piece!!  Literally - lol!  This old Santa vintage image is also from the Maja papers and I've curled back the pieces around the image, distressed them then added some Gesso.  The corner pieces were from my stash so I also topped those off too.

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care...hee hee!  Added some twine, Martha Stewart Texture and Glossy Accents.

Another pretty resin piece covered with Wild Orchid Flowers and Gesso.

This "25" is a die from Tim Holtz but I've used raw chipboard from SRTC.  I covered it in some "Java Bean" Glitter Ritz - soooooo pretty - then topped it off with more Gesso.  Oh and that flower is from Prima and I'm so excited to say I've used almost all flowers from that package.  I tend to hoard so that's a big deal for me.  LOL!

And last but not least!  Snowflakes from SRTC that I painted with a TH dauber and then added Twinklettes to cover.  If you click on the picture, you'll be able to view a close up and the Twinklettes are just crushed up glass fragments.  Very pretty though.

A shout out goes to my friend Sheri who gave me a bag of super pretty laces and I've finally had a chance to dip into some.  THANKS!  The wooden star in the top left frame, the gorgeous pearl centered flower ribbon and the white Kort and Godt chrysanthemums are from LLC.

These gorgeous wooden words are a preview and will be added to the store in October!

Well we are off to The Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival in Edmonton so hope we see you there!

Have a great week!

M R Designs "Winter Frost"

Today's card brought to you by M R Designs!!  Well I made the card but I've used Michele's gorgeous papers new to the shop called "Winter Frost".  There are also some elements and insert pages available and they are GORGEOUS!  AND more winter papers in PINK!!  SERIOUSLY!!!  Love non-traditional colored winter cards!!

Aren't these tree's the freakin' cutest?!!  They are Magnolia doohickeys that I covered in gorgeous glitter!!

You know, I thought taking a picture outside would be a good thing but ummm...obviously it was TOO cloudy.  Hey at least you can see my glitter on the flowers and below my image.  I used a huge array of suppliers on my flowers here including Kort & Godt, Wild Orchid Crafts and Prima!!

My super fun to play with image is "Cocoa Wishes" from Tiddly Inks colored with Copics and listed below.

Have I mentioned that Michele is now also doing Facebook timeline covers?  for CHEAP!!  AND she does custom watermarks too!  Very talented lady!

More Amazing Chipboard

Hi there! I'm back today with some vintage chipboard!!  Ok, the chipboard itself isn't vintage but it sure looks great on a vintage card doesn't it?  Maybe shabby vintage?  LOL!

The stamp set I've used is from Live and Love Crafts "Stempelglede - Postcard from Paris" and I've adorned it with my usual raft of flowers.  LOL!

This honeycomb piece is one of my absolute favorites and so far I've managed to use 2 pieces from the 1 piece that's on the Southern Ridge Trading Company store and still have another piece left.  This piece is numbered PAT-274.

Here's another gorgeous flourish piece from SRTC COR-181.

Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy your week.  I hope you manage to get in some crafty time this week.  It's soooo good for you!  hee hee
