Sew Shabby and Berry Sweet

I have wanted to color up this image from Tiddly Inks "Berry Sweet" for awhile now and just decided to put everything else aside and go for it.  Sometimes you just need to create for no other reason than you want to.

I used some WONDERFUL pieces from Noor! Design UK - the doily die that is just barely peeking out at both ends, the new mushroom and gorgeous leaf dies.  I also used one of their many gorgeous templates "Shape Art Ornate".  It's a little extra fussy cutting but I LOVE it as I was getting tired of my square cards.

DON'T YOU JUST LOVE THESE STRAWBERRIES?!!  I bought this die from Magnolia some time ago.  See?  So long I don't even remember!!  LOL!  They're a little finicky but they sure look cute when they're done!!  The grass die is also from Magnolia.

I've used the new set of papers from Michele R Designs called "Sew Shabby".  Lovin those greens let me tell you!  And they are sold in a 12" x 12" so I could use my new shaped templates from Noor!  No, I don't have a 12" x 12" printer but I still could printed larger than the 6" x 6" so I was a very happy camper!  I love the extra's these sets come with and again I went to the postcard and ticket pieces.  Also, my usual bouquet from Wild Orchid Crafts that you can purchase from Live and Love Crafts.

And here she is again - I did have trouble with my mushrooms on the first go around and they were red so I had to recolor, cut and paste but it seems to have worked out just fine!  LOL!

I even managed to build this around a couple of challenges so here we go:

Thanks for stopping by and
have a great week!

Love Mixed Media Canvas

Good morning!!

Just thought I would share a picture of what I was up to on the weekend.  Me and 3 other ladies decided to travel 3 hours (one way) to take a class for this mixed media piece.  I was so happy to figured out how people do these and buy some new supplies for myself.  Yikes that was a bill but whatever.  LOL!!

Thanks to Clipper Street Scrapbook Company for the awesome lesson.  Stay tuned for my white piece I created yesterday.  These are just FUN and take just as long as a card does.  My next piece will be a 12" x 12" so looking forward to that.

Have a great week!

Chipboard - Quick Tutorial

I've just done up a quick tutorial and I say quick because it's quick and easy.  Takes a few minutes of drying time but I let mine set on the windowsill when it's sunny and carry on to other parts of my card.

I used INS-560 - pretty little butterflies from SRTC aren't they?

I first start out with the TH distress paint and dab all over the chipboard thoroughly.  In this case I've used 3 layers.  Sometimes you can get away with 2 layers, depending on what you're 3rd one might be.

Since I've decided to use some Stardust stickles, I knew I had to have 3 layers but I really wanted it white white.  I made the photo nice and big so you could actually see the sparkle.  Pretty isn't it?

And here's a look at what I used it on.  Just a tiny little thing can take a card to another level.

Have a wonderful week!

April K&C Challenge

I am just a few days late with this but thankfully it goes all month!!  Woo hoo!  So the ncxt challenge at Kit and Clowder is soooooo easy!!

FLOWERS!!

Really?!  C'mon now easy peasy!!  This month our sponsor is Ppinky Doll Stamps and I'm not sure what it is about them but I think they are sooooos super cute!!!  Seems like there is something for everyone!!  This image is called "How Beautiful".

Also, I have paired my image up once again with the amazing papers from Michele R Design papers.  I'm not sure what it is but it seems like every month I always put the K&C challenge together with Michele's papers.  Love them!!

I've added some gorgeous flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, chrysanthemums and Prima butterfly from Live and Love Crafts and my pretty glittered butterfly from Southern Ridge Trading Company.  I've done a tutorial at SRTC if you'd like to check it out.

One day I'll have time to learn more about brightening my photo's ... oooooo or when I build my new craft room, build an actual photo booth!!  Ya!  This cute little bow is also from M R Designs.  The paper pack is called "In The Garden" and the blow is part of the Elements I pack.   What a cute touch don't ya think?

This post card is also from MR Designs in another packed called Elements 2.  The little "love" heart is from LLC and I think they are one of my most favorite pieces to add.

There we go!!  Now you're off to make a card aren't you?  LOL!!  Ok maybe later but don't forget the challenge at K&C.  It's so easy and we all add flowers to our cards don't we?  Have a great week!

Octavia Moonfly Wistful

A few weeks ago I colored this gorgeous little creature up from Polkadoodles called "Octavia Moonfly Wistful".  Isn't she adorable?  I finally made her into a card using some gorgeous papers from Maja Design, which I bought from LLC, for my SIN's birthday card.

Isn't that ladybug border so super cute?!!  I got that from Noor! Design UK along with the leaf and circle die.

My pretty spring bouquet is filled with some gorgeous flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and the springs are from Magnolia.  You can buy the WO flowers from Live and Love Crafts and she has a gorgeous shabby/chic vintage colored selection there.

Isn't this twig heart just the cutest too?  I made it.  NO!!  HA HA HA!!  I'm kidding but I should try it!!  I bought a few packages from a friend so they're just stash.  The mushroom is from Prima - how cute is that?  Everything is cute today!  hee hee  The lovely laces are all from Live and Love Crafts, who by the way, is having a 15% off sale!!  Just thought I'd pass that along.  hee hee

So HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my SIN who turned the big 4-0 on April 1st!!  I know wouldn't that suck?  Poor girl.  But instead of always remembering it's April fool's we just always think about her birthday instead.

I'm entering my card into a couple of challenges this time:

Noor! Design UK - Anything Goes
Live and Love Crafts - Signs of Spring

Have a great Easter weekend all!!

Octavia

This week on the Kit and Clowder FB group we are playing with Polkadoodle images.  I love Octavia and she's a challenge to color so lots of fun for me.  The mushroom spots were made using whipped spackle by Faber-Castell and I added some pink shavings from my gelatos.  You can see it but I also added glitter overtop the spots.  I like using the whipped spackle because it's so light and airy it doesn't weigh a card down.

So my post on FB was this and you can play along too if you like:

This week we are showcasing Polkadoodle images and this one can be found here:

There are a few contests going on right now:

or you can learn how to color Octavia and her owl friend in the animal class here: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10155299947175324&set=gm.659744924153780&type=1

Eventually I will make her into a card so stay tuned!
