Sophie's Rose and Sympathy Bugs

MY FIRST PROJECT IN MY NEW CRAFT ROOM!!!  Soon I'll be adding THAT post...of my craft room I mean.  :)  You'd think taking pics of a room would be easy but it seems to be the last thing you feel like doing after moving.  Yikes!!

For today's card I used this super cute image from Sylvia Zet called "Sympathy Bugs".  It's available as a digi or rubber stamp.

I'm not sure if I've ever colored these cuties before or not but I've had this stamp FOREVAH!!!  They are so stinkin' cute!!  I was so happy to stamp 2 of these but use only 1 and have no practice piece.  FIRST TIME EVAH!!!   WOO!!  Jeeps all kinds of firsts goin' on here!

I'm using papers from Michele R Designs called "Sophie's Rose" and I discovered something cool.  I'm not sure if it's new but to me it is.  When I printed these papers I noticed they were a bit dark, which could have been my printer but thankfully that doesn't matter!   I found a feature in Word that allowed me to change the color of the papers and brighten them up.  YAY!  Much nicer!!

I've also used pieces from the Elements 2 package, the butterflies and sentiment.  I created a tassel with a Marianne Designs die using some of the papers that came with the 6 x 6 design sheets.  They are just stunning!

Crazy Cats!!

My original plan was that I wasn't going to get caught up with these new Crazy Cats by Tim Holtz BUT how could I refuse a good sale?!!!  25% off!!  NICE!!  So between a sale and the feeling of wanting to spend some money how could I refuse??!!  LOL!!

Also, these fun characters seem to be great images to test out with distress markers.  OMG THOSE THINGS AGAIN!!  I've been so scared of them for so long.  HA HA HA!!  Turns out they're not so bad!  And far faster than Copics.  Well in this case anyway.

I THINK!!   I might be guessing at a couple of them but it wasn't until later that I figured I should be marking them down.  DUH!  Well I didn't think these were going to turn out to be blog worthy so didn't keep track until about my 3rd one.  LOL!!  Needless to say I think I'll be playing some more with my DI markers.  FUN!!!

"Men Only"

Today I'm back with another card made using Michele R Designs papers called "Men Only".  I know how much we all love making masculine cards...LOL...NOT...but this set definitely made it easier.  I also used some elements from the "Men Only Elements" package which included, the flag banner, balloon, compass and clocks but there are a few more so well worth the purchase!

I've used this "Vintage Clock" and some mini gears from Southern Ridge Trading Company.  These are super cute and Karen has some other gear related products as well.  I covered the gears by applying some Inka Gold directly to each piece.  

I found the picture online and covered it with glittered Mod Podge for some man glitter (hee hee), added a few metal pieces and a spark plug.  BAM!!  MAN card.  LOL!

Crazy Birds

I just love these crazy birds and I finally got a chance to get back into my craft room and play before we move.  My stepdad isn't feeling too well right now so I sent him this card and on the inside it says

STUPID BUGS ANYWAY!!

It was hard to refrain from adding my usual quantities of embellishments but I didn't want to spend all day on it.  Also, really these birds don't need a lot of fancy stuff they kind of speak for themselves.  Well....we do depending on what sentiment we add.  LOL!!

MR Designs

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!  WOW I can't believe that October was the last time I had something on my blog!!  Pretty sure that's a record.  LOL!!!  Well I got bit by the coloring bug and had done a class from Kit and Clowder over the holidays.  Well that got me going again so I colored a few more images up, which are yet to come to my blog but it's been fun.  Soon we will be in our new house and I'll be back to crafting more regularly and have I got a craft room to show you!!!  Exciting!!

Today I'm sharing a card using Michele R Designs papers called "Treasure My Heart" papers.  It's been so long since I've written up a post I'm a little bit rusty.  LOL!!  As usual I've covered a lot up but then I piled more paper pieces over top including the balloon die, a Treasure My Heart ticket and bow.      

I've used a few things from Noor! Design UK - the shaped art template, balloon die, wine glass die and oval flourish die.  

Also pretty happy to be playing with Wild Orchid flowers and Live and Love Craft's bark hearts and flowers again.  WOO!!  

Oh and this little cutie is called "Celebration Tilda".  I miss my Maggie's but paying $17 a stamp is getting a bit much so I think I'll be digging up some older ones that I may have used only once so far.  Good idea!!  LOL!  I think digi's will be the way to go for awhile too.  I don't mind that!!!

Falling Snowflakes - Michele R Designs

So ... sorry I've hardly been around lately.  Some of you know but for those who don't, hubby and I are building a house so it has been quite time consuming as I'm sure you could imagine.  In the meantime, I've also lost my mojo for card making but not to fear.  I am building quite the craft room so I'll be back doing it sometime in the new year.  

HOWEVER, in the meantime I am still digi scrapbooking and I've used the newest Christmas papers from Michele R Designs called "Christmas Time".  I used 3 of the 8 amazing - 12" x 12" papers you can purchase in one package and stitched them together like a quilt.  Not my idea, I did scraplift this and am so sorry I don't know the lady who created this awesome layout but would love to give her credit!!

I also used a number of "Christmas Time Elements Pack 2" and these even come in a .png extension so there is no cropping needed for the elements!!

Have you joined the Facebook Group yet?  Seems to me there is either freebies going on or a contest for the latest package of awesome papers and elements.  Check it out!!
