Everything Stops For Walkies

About a month ago I did a lighter green and pink combo and loved it so much I had to try it again only a little more bolder!!  Reminds me of watermelon.  LOL!  The paper is LemonCraft's "Everyday Spring" and I used Dutch Doobadoo's "Flower with Four Petals" art shape template.

This image is soooo cute!!  How are you enjoying the new line of LDRS images?  This one is called "Everything Stops for Walkies" and I've colored her with Copics.  (See below for combo's)

This gorgeous filigree butterfly is relatively new to the shop and I love that it's very bendable so I shaped the wings and in real life it's very curvey now.  I also made some more pink Foamiran flowers using the die set from Rosy Owl "Flower Dies 2" and adding some glitter stamens.

I couldn't believe it when I found this color of silk ribbon in my stash!!  Perfect!  I also used a heart pendant charm from the store and filled it with stardust Stickles.  Looks soooo glittery and pretty!

I hope by now it's looking a lot more spring-like where you are.  I wish spring, summer and fall were the longer seasons, not winter like this past one.  LOL!

Enjoy your weekend and I hope you get some crafty time!!
Hugs!

Challenge Time!!!

CHALLENGE TIME!!

This month at Noor! Design UK we are challenging you to use:

FLOWERS!  YAY!!!!

I've had this gorgeous "double lace butterfly" from the shop for some time and I never thought about using it for the main piece until now.  See if you hang on to something for long enough, eventually you'll find a use for it.  Now you're thinking "ok she's a hoarder" but only when it comes to anything crafty.  Yes, I'm a crafting hoarder.  LOL!!  I suspect I'm not alone here.  ðŸ˜€

I have to tell you that this idea was NOT my own.  I borrowed it from Susannes Halseth and when I saw her card I immediately thought "Ooooo I HAVE TO DO THAT!".  It's a great way to show off Maja Design's "Vintage Romance" papers.  I used Scrapiniec's "Lavender Mist" stems to layer and some gorgeous WO flowers for those last touches.

Again more flowers and Lavender Mist stems with a glass bead and strawberry in each bouquet.  I also added some cheesecloth underneath and touched a few area's with some Gesso.  Love that shabby look!!

This butterfly was kind of hilarious.  I had my husband hold the top layer of wings up and then I sprayed with self-adhesive glue and covered it with "Diamond Dust" glitter.  We did it again with the top layer but that self-adhesive glue is sticky!!!  It took us awhile it get it off our fingers but he was a great sport about it.  In fact, adding the glitter was his idea!!!  LOL!  It's sooooo glittery in real life!

Thanks for stopping by to check out my shabby Maja butterfly card!!

Enjoy your weekend when it gets to you and I hope you find some crafty time!
Hugs!

Wine Tasting Tilda

So this is the second time I tried using Dutch Doobadoo's Dutch Envelope Art Heart A4 template.  I learned something while I was creating it that I'll share.  Don't use any patterns that can't be turned one way or another and look good.  I had used a sheet with hearts on it and dang it they weren't upside down and sideways and it was just a hot mess!  LOL!!!!  BUT!  Once finished using the right paper it is CUTE CUTE CUTE!!!!  I used Maja Design's "Summertime" collection starting with one of the garden cut images on front and just a couple of embellie's.

Ooooooo ok this was tricky.  I cut a piece of red cardstock using the Joy "Love Heart" die but then cut out the center to make it appear like the inner heart should be see through then surrounded it with a pearl string.  The envelope closes using a slit in the flap and pulling through a heart shaped tab.  Clever design!

I had to keep my embellishments limited since this envelope actually gets closed.  That was a little tough for me (LOL) so instead I used as many dies as I could without clutter.  Another challenge for me.  ha ha ha!!  I distressed all edges of every layer and every piece with cocoa brown Momento ink.

I enjoyed using Magnolia's "Wine Tasting Tilda" so much once, I had to play with her again only this time with Copics!!  I added some layers behind that super cute sentiment (hee hee) and used the Joy "Doily Edge" die as the bottom layer.

So now why don't you try it?  Easy peasy!  LOL!!  It just ends up being this sweet envelope, one that any would love to receive in the mail!  If you're looking for one of these let Tracy know and she can order it in for you.
