Polkadoodles Gnome-tastic Collection

Hello and welcome back!!  Today's card features a cute sentiment in a shaker tag!

Normally I choose my papers first and then colour my image but this time I didn't and WOW is that a whole ton harder!!  LOL!  Never again!  🤣🤣  I did print out a sheet from Octavia Moonfly - Paper Heaven 4 on the Ultimate Graphic paper and used that for my base layer.  Then I cut a tag or wide arrow shape using a sheet from the Timeless Rose 6" x 6" craft paper pad.

I combined 2 images from the new Gnometastic collection and the first is  Gnometastic "Birthday Cake" digi available in black and whitelight skin precoloured and deep skin precoloured and all include the svg/dxf file.  The 2nd image is Gnometastic "Birthday Gift" digi available in black black and whitelight skin precoloured and deep skin precoloured all include the svg/dxf file.  I coloured this image using my copics and listed them below.  I did add some sort of hash marks or burlap look to her hat using my prisma pencil crayon for some added texture and some cute copic flower shapes to her top.  Ohhhh and I did get the idea of his apron from the pre-coloured image.  So cute with the stripes!

The slimline shape made it easy to add a sentiment right beside the image allowing me to use a sentiment to the shaker element from the new Gnome-tastic Sentiments printable downloads.  I like not having to think of a sentiment so this set is just handy and I also like that because it's a download, you can size it anyway you want it!!

After adding some ribbon, glittery pop up pearls and flowers embellishment this card was done!!

Have you ever heard the song "If I Knew You Were comin'"?  This card reminded me of that song.  I'm pretty sure I heard it on Sesame Street (a child's show from when I was a kid) but it turns out it was an actual song released in 1950!

If I knew you were comin' I'd've baked a cake, baked a cake, baked a cake
If I knew you were comin' I'd've baked a cake
Howdya do, howdya do, howdya do?

There's more but I thought this was enough to have it stuck in our head so ... you're welcome!  🤣🤣🤣

Have a great day!

Polkadoodles Flying High

Today I'm sharing how I've used stencils to create the shaker box layer.

In order to create the base I've used some Ultimate Graphic 160gsm paper pack and printed a design paper from the Eden Collection - Paper Heaven 1-10 digital craft bundle and cut with a scalloped slimline die.

I started the shaker creating a heart filled sky by using distress oxide inks and the Hearts & Circles Layering Stencils like this:

Layer 1 - Circle stencil with Spun Sugar

Layer 2 - Larger hearts with Kitsch Flamingo

Layer 3 - Small hearts using Picked Raspberry

I then added my shaker contents and some clouds so I could pop my image right on top.  I coloured up You're Flying High digi stamp using my copics then adhered a double layer of foam tape to really make her pop.  She's also available pre-coloured for those occasions when you might not want to colour or need a quick card!

The saying was created using 2 stamps from the Super Sentiment stamp pack that contains 49 clear polymer stamps.  Tons of great words to create any sentiment for your projects!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Stay crafty!!

Gnome-tastic Strawberry Dream

Today I am sharing a shaped card for you featuring an image from the Gnome-tastic digi collection.

I knew when I saw this image that I wanted to create my card with some greens and reds without making it look like Christmas.  (Not easy! 🤣)  Those strawberries are just far too luscious not to feature.  I picked a few papers from the Octavia Moonfly - Paper Heaven 4 digi collection using Ultimate Graphic paper and cut this pretty shapely card using my Silhouette. 😀

This image is "Strawberry Dream" and available in digital black and white, pre-coloured light and deep skin along with svg and dxf files.  I've coloured the image using my copics (combo's listed below) and added a cute little wood table for him.  I think he's getting ready to make some strawberry shortcake and maybe freezer jam!!  Nom nom!!!  🧑🏼‍🍳🍓

I've paired this card up with a sentiment from the Gnome-tastic Sentiments collection and WOW what a collection this is!!!  You get 25 sentiments and some of them would be perfect to actually use as a focal piece!  Hmmmm...well now, that gives me an idea!!  I think I should try that myself!!  LOL!!  I've used PD's Posydoodles Basic tags to create 2 layers to my sentiment, one black layer and then the white sentiment layer.  I curled it a little in the middle so it pops out and then curled the tail end the opposite way so it looks like kind of a wave.  I also popped a few foam dots right in the middle between the black and white layers to give it even more dimension.

I wanted a couple of embellishment strawberries so added 2 die cut ones using corrugated glitter paper.  I've had that in my stash forEVER so it was nice to finally use it.  Oops!!  LOL!  Ooooooo it's so pretty in real life!!  I really am the kind of person who "what I see I use" so if something is hiding, unfortunately it doesn't get used.  Do you have this happen to you as well??  Yup I really needed multiple sheets of it!!  🤣🤣🤣

I hope you're enjoying this collection as much as I am!!  So super cute and nice to have the gnomies in digital form.  Gotta love that instant gratification!!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Hugs!  🥰

Polkadoodles Horace & Boo - Surprise

Today I'm sharing this adorable outdoor birthday scene starring Horace & Boo!

This Horace & Boo - Surprise polymer stamp is also available in digi form.  As you can tell by the image, I've added a whole outdoors landscape using my Prismacolor pencil crayons.  I think I'm living vicariously through my scenes.  🤣🤣

I popped up the image on the Squarey Swirly Hearts die and used papers from the the Hearts & Happiness 6" x 6" paper pack.  This pack contains such pretty subtle peaches and blues and just perfect for those spring and summer projects.

I created the the saying using the Super Sentiments collection that comes with 49 clear polymer stamps.  So easy to make up any saying for every day and occasion cards!  I added a few wooden stars that I painted with some gesso to create more of a shabby look.

Thought I would add a layer of lace topped by some peach rhinestone lace to just finish off the card.

Are you starting to creating those spring/summer/easter cards now too?

Thanks for stopping by today!

Maggie Gnome Ladybug Walk - Twistoon

When I saw this digi image created by Lisa at Twistoon I knew I had to colour her up!!

The image itself is called Maggie Gnome Ladybug Walk and I've coloured her with copics.

Here is the original image so you can see how much of a scene I've created.  It was fun and such a super cute gnome!!!  😀 Also she's having a huge 50-70% off sale this weekend!!  😳

Hope you are all having a wonderful Easter weekend and just maybe getting in some crafty time!

MFT Hug It Out

I did share this on Facebook and Instagram but then I realized I had added my colours here so if nothing more, at least I have them documented.  LOL!

This is MFT's "Hug it Out" and OOOOOOOOOOOO this set is so stinkin' adorable I just couldn't refuse it!!  And I'm pretty sure we could all use a ton of hugs!!  I am so lucky that I actually have a hubby who gives the best hugs ever!  He's more than a head taller than me but he bends down to my height and softens right up and squeezes tight!  I never thought the day would come when I described the way my husband hugs me!!  LOL!!!

I hope you all have a good and creative weekend!!
Sending you big, warm, squishy hugs!!

Eulanda
