Pinkfresh Cards - New Style for Me!

Well I have found a new style!!  I was always wondering when the flower cards would move me and they finally did!!!  Pinkfresh has all kinds of amazing products but in these cards I have used the layering stencils the most.  In some cases they have 4-6 layers and that's how I got the stunning variety of colours using my distress oxides.  

This set of stencils is called "Friendship Blooms".  You can buy a die for them for them but it wasn't available when I purchased the stencils so I used my Brother Scan N Cut.  I layered the slimline card using Craft Consortium's Candy line paper called "Ink Drops" and the "Slim Fancy Diagonal Stripes" die from Pinkfresh.

I'm entering this card in the July "Butterfly" challenge over at Pinkfresh.

I have some more cards using PF's "Be Strong" stamp set, stencils and die.

I created the sentiment using a set of dies from waaaaay back when!  LOL!  Was happy to use some stash!  I die cut another set of flowers from vellum to layer under the coloured ones for some added depth.

I used my Silhouette to create the sentiment and the background vellum piece.  I embossed the flowers in gold and then coloured them using distress oxides. 

I am certainly having fun with these new items and am looking forward to more!!

Winnie - Let's Hang Out

The latest Polkadoodles Winnie release!!  WOOOOOOO!!

The first thing I did was pick out my papers, which I always do because then I know what colours I want to use to colour up my images.  I chose the background paper from the Peeling Paint 6" x 6" paper pad (ahem - which is on sale by the way 😀) and a few more from the Adalene Craft paper pad (ahem - also on sale 😀🤣).

Introducing "Summer Dreams" from the recent Winnie's "Let's Hang Out" collection, available in black and white digi, pre-coloured light and pre-coloured deep skintones which all include a dxf/svg file. 

After I coloured her up using copics, I added some Wink of Stella to her daisy's.  Super sweet!

AND OH MY GOSH THE SENTIMENTS!!  You absolutely MUST check out the "Let's Hang Out" sentiment pack consisting of 37 phrases!!  😳😲 It's UH-MAZING!!

As some of you know, I really like using layers and couldn't help but add a few to this card.  I added some pretty flowers and a row of lace to top it off.  Oh!  And aren't those little pink ladybugs just so cute?!  🐞😊

Some Polkadoodles CAS Cards

Hi there!  Are you up for a couple of quick and cute cards?  Well you've come to the right place!  Unless I'm in your Inbox right now then I came to you.  LOL!!  😀

Well ok, this first card should be a quick card but it wasn't for me.  LOL!!  They never are really.  I'm not use to creating 4.25" x 5" cards so I really had to think but I figured it turned out kinda cute!!  The image and sentiments are from "Donuts About You" 4" x 4" stamp set.  I layered up the white layer on to kraft paper but before I did I die cut the round frame out first.  I popped up that layer and the peas picture frame with foam tape - OMG AREN'T THEY SO CUTE?!  😀 I used left over pieces of design paper from "Bright & Beautiful, Sweet Tweet and Fresh Twist" pads.  Oh and did I mention that all these pads and the cute stamp set are on sale?

My next cutie card is a shaker and I've used images and the sentiment from "Toadal Sweetheart" 4" x 4" stamp set.  The papers are from "Toadally Cute" 6" x 6" craft papers that match the stamp set.  There are papers in the pad that are perfect for anything really.

I die cut the shape of my card first and then popped up a shaker layer adding some sequins and glitter I had in my stash.  I used this sentiment from "Toadal Sweetheart" stamp and added some foam dots to pop that up.

I coloured all the images using Copics before adding them up on the shaker layer using foam to these pieces as well.  I love height on my cards!  It's amazing how different a card can look after adding some.

Are you a texture and layering kind of card maker or do you like simple cards?  I give credit to those of you who can create a CAS card very easily.  That is a skill in itself!!  😀💕

Polkadoodles Snowball Kisses Card Tutorial

Today I'm going to share a full video on how to create this cute interactive Christmas card using acetate.

The image and sentiment are from the Snowball Kisses collection.  So many fabulous choices with this stamp set using lots of different pieces to create a cute scene!  I've added some white snowflakes to the front and then a 2nd sliver snowflake behind it so you never see the glue dots used to adhere them.

You can add any kind of outdoor scene here but I have used one from my stash and some trees too.  I added some chunky Icicle Stickles to the frame of the house as well as to the penguins hat and pom pom.

To make this cute little penguin interactive I used an "Action Wobble Spring" adhered to the back.

Fathers Day Inspiration

Looking for a father's day card?  Well maybe this can be a little inspiration for you!!  I've used paper from the "Happy Hour Kit" collection by Reminisce for my base layer as well as one of the layered stitched tags.  

Normally I don't use glitter for a masculine card but I die cut the glass from some "Best Creation" black glitter cardstock and filled Tonic's "Cheers Die and Shaker" shaker using some Heidi Swapp Marquee Love glitter (stash - YAY) and some Studio Katia glitter. 

I added some Tim Holtz metal stars and twine pieces from my stash to finish this off.
