Sketch Saturday Week #92

For this week's Sketch Saturday challenge I chose to use this cute Motivet stamp called Hedgehog with balloons for a birthday card.  Sorry for the slightly blurry picture but I was in a hurry to finish.  I usually have a very hard time with bright colors but with the balloons being so vibrant I wanted to try and carry on with that.   I have to admit the sketch was challenging for me so I was glad to be with Simone to brainstorm on that one.  Thanks buddie!  You can see her card for this challenge over HERE.  Personally, I think she ROCKED it!

Stamps: Hedgehog with Balloons
Paper: Doodlebug
Embellishments:  Prima flowers, misc pewter brads & gems and borrowed epoxy making buttons from Simone.  Actually everything was hers!  ha ha!  Thanks again buddie!

Ink: Colored With Copics and Momento Ink
Hedgehog back:   E43, E44, E45

Motivet Challenge Week 8

So I have been visiting my sister in Fort McMurray, AB for the last week and no trip would be complete without cardmaking!!!  So we both have made 1 so far and have colored lots more.   I brought all my Copics with me and so hard to not whip them out on the plane and start coloring.  Alas, flights were too short but that's fine!!  So here's my card for the Motivet Challenge Week 8.

Not using my normal editing program has made it a smidge challenging but I found a good online program that seems to have done the job!  Isn't Hilda just so cute?!!!

Week 53 Motivet Challenge

Ok so I know I'm a few hours late on this Motivet Challenge so I probably won't qualify but that's okay.  I still really liked using the sketch AND coloring this image.

If you can't quite see it or didn't notice, the sentiment says BRRRTHDAY.  hee hee!  The inside will say "Sending you warm hugs on your brrrthday".

I thought I would show you a closeup of the border.  I used a Magnolia stamp #482 Snowy Circle and embossed it with Hologram embossing powder.  I also put Glossy Accents on their scarfs.  They look so happy!  Thanks for looking!

Motivet Challenge

This week over at Motivet blog, they challenge that our card be monochromatic, excluding the main image.  I find that most times I work better with a sketch so I also incorporated their previous challenge, which was this sketch.  So cute!

I never knew walnuts (which are on her pj's) were green first.  Well maybe I knew but I had to find it on the internet to make sure today.  The walnuts and candy canes are colored with Spica pens and then glossed.  I put Twinklets on the snowflakes and the fur on her hat.  What a great challenge!  It's not easy to do only one main color so that was a great challenge thanks!!

Sketch Saturday #62

This is my take on SS's challenge. I just got some Motivet images from my friend Tanya. THANKS A LOT - kinda..........enabler. LOL!! These guys are so cute! I am trying to stay away from adding glitter, since I do that on almost anything because I think it's just fine by itself now. Sweet!! hee hee!
