Basic Grey Challenge

Basic Grey has challenges every 2nd week, which makes it so much easier for me to participate in. You only have to use 1 element of Basic Grey and I chose the Wisteria bg paper and it's gorgeous!! I just love it even tho it's purple (not my favorite)! This paper makes it easier for me to use the color and it looks so rich! Plus I get to use one of my favorite images - Daisy from the Sugar Nellie collection.

I used Spica glitter on her shirt and added glaze on all the flowers.

Heartfelt Thanks

I am so glad I bought this Heartfelt Thanks set from SU. It is so versatile and can be used for any occasion. I stamped the swirles on to the pink Bazzill paper, pierced my heart embossed white layer, used my nestabilities for the squares, the flower and the oval saying. Also used my new heart punch from Fiskars and the ribbon is from Little Yellow Bicycle (love that line!!)

Heartfelt Thanks

This is a birthday card for my DH's gramma. Mine and Simone's bday, my MIL and her MIL all have the same date. So ya, 4 of use the same day. Weird or what?!! Anyway, Freda is a very English lady in every meaning of the word so I thought this was nice and dainty for a nice dainty lady.

Hey Ghoulfriend - SU Stamps

My first halloween card of the year! I used this sketch but it's too small to read and now I can't give credit to the sketch maker. Sorry!! I go around to all the blogs I visit and download the sketch for later. Only problem is you can't take notes on where you got it from. Hopefully some of you will recognize it. I used my new square scallop nestabilities and cut felt for the black square. It's so cool. Once again IRL it looks way better. Hmmf. I put Stickles in the center of the flower and orange dot Stickles all the way around each white frame. I also used Stickles on the bottom of the witch's dress. Remember The Wizard of Oz? Ya, green witch. Still creeps me out. Too funny!

Classic Pickups - SU

It's my stepdad's 60th next weekend and my sister already made his card. She set the bar quite high so I figured I should put on my best foot forward and just go for it! The challenge was on!! I love the way this card turned out but it took me 3 hours!!!! I cut the bumper and top grill out with my exacto knife and 3d'ed it. I put clear dimensional glue on the front window, headlights and middle grill after coloring with my Copics.
Luckily I have father's day coming up and 2 more people to make this card for. Yay!! A proforma and none of them will ever know any different!! hee hee

More Christmas Cards

These cards have Figgy Pudding papers put to good use. I just love the name! You can't see it but I used holographic embossing powder on the tree. Sparkles quite nicely. I'm having fun with the Liquid Applique I bought and the snowmen have sparkles on their hat and earmuff bands.

Snowflakes

SU's retired Snowflakes set is a nice set to make a simple yet elegant card. I bought the Staz-On white ink today. Oh ya, and if I had of really thought about I suppose I would have cleaned off my stamp right away instead of letting it sit there for an hour!! Duh why do you think they called it STAZ-ON?!! I'm very anal about cleaning my stamps and most of mine look like they're new and never been used. Needless to say, not anymore. I scrubbed and scrubbed and most of it's off now. Lesson learned. LOL!! Oh - the card is acetate. Can you see it?

Sleigh Full of Toys

This was another criss cross card I finished up. This was the first one I was trying out. There's Stickles on the little present, his ball at the end of his hat and the working but you can hardly seem them. I love the embossing folders that Cuttlebug has. That's what I used for the embossed snowflakes. Fun!

Hey, Ghoul Friend

These were tons of fun too but I can't take all the credit. I was searching on Splitcoast Gallery, which I'm sure is one popular gallery among us all. If you take a look at Suzy Q. Moose you'll see what I mean. She's quite talented!

This background paper was from Making Memories. I did a little shopping out of town this weekend. hee hee!

Halloween Cards

These gals were definitely fun to make. The background paper was Doodlebug Design and I used mostly my pencil crayons to color her in. Love gems and am having a hard time keeping them off anything. LOL!

Lovely As A Tree

I made the top one for my aunt & uncle and the bottom one for a profoma for christmas cards. I used Palette Gluepad with white sparkles. Scanners never do justice. I also used gems for the snow falling. It just sparkles!
