Pink Mountain Hunting Trip

My DH, his uncle & cousin all went to Pink Moutain last November for a buffalo hunt. They were successful and wow that stuff is yummy! I've used nestibilities, chipboard, stickers, Quickutz and more miscellaneous embellishments. My DH did his own journalling and the scope on the above layout was his idea. Finicky but fun!

My Brother's Family

Here's another layout I did of xmas pictures my SIL & brother gave us for xmas of the two of them and my neice. I used CTMH papers, lots of Stickles, snowflake punches, Quickutz and a few rub-ons.

Valentine's 2009

Completed this scrap layout last weekend at a crop here in Williams Lake. What a great weekend but don't you find creative work tiring?!! WOW! This is a line from Little Yellow Bicycle and funny thing....my sister (twin) bought it too but we had shopped separately!! What I didn't have for embellishments, she did. Too funny!

The chipboard swirl was inked black first then I added the Gunmetal Stickles. The heart chipboard was inked and then Stickled as well. For the swirl on the page below, I inked it with Pearl Adirondack dabber and then covered it with Crackle accent and it does have a cracked finish. Used my nestibilities, tons of rub-ons and embellishments.

Terry Fator Scrapbook Page

Last April we went to Vegas and yes, I am just getting around to this one now. If anyone has tips for taking pics of pages that would be so great!! I added the felt swirls on the left overtop of a red glitter paper. I printed out a star from Word and used it as a template on a coaster, cut it out, then inked it black and added black flock. The swirls in the bottom corners were stickers I added to the red glitter paper and then cut out. I couldn't use a flash because it reflects off my picture and leaves a bright spot in the middle of the page. Because of that, I couldn't get the focus sharp because I am shaking too much when I take a picture without a flash. Well, even a teeny shake is too much for a camera. Anyway, hopefully you get the picture. aaa ha ha!

Barkerville 2008

Here's my long overdue LAST SUMMER scrap page of us with Sara & Ryan (my DH's kids) visiting Barkerville. For what should have been a warm, or in fact hot day in August, it was chilly!!! Only 7 degrees and normally it should be high 20's. Brrrrr! But we had fun anyway!
I really enjoyed doing the stitching and it was a lot quicker then I thought it was going to be.

Set 2 - Lance's 60th

I am so happy with the way these turned out. I used the Blue Ribbon paper package that Laurel sent to me from CTMH. I am really loving the coordinates. Makes it a lot easier having all the right colors at your fingertips. I did paper piercing, stitching, distressing, inked and embossed the frame that Lance is in. It looks very bright but IRL it matches. They look much better side by side.....

Lance's 60th Birthday

We had such a great time at my stepdad's 60th bday back in May and I finally got to scrapbook a couple of pages. I have 2 more to work on then I'm doing my mom's birthday. These ones are fun! They, as well as all their friends, have a great sense of ha-ha. Better then most I think but I'm biased. hee hee
I wasn't really thrilled about how the title looks but other then that I was happy with the way it turned out. Thanks to Laurel for the CTMH papers - I luv them! I wish I had a 12 x 12 scanner but then I'd wish it was deep enough to fit embellishments for a perfect scan. No, I don't ask for too much. LOL!

Titanic Page 2

Ok then!! LMAO!! Crisis diverted!!! It's all good now. So here is my new corrected page of Titanic. My how lovely it looks when things are spelled right. Wonder where the hell my spell check was on that one last night. ROTFLMAO! Oh TG my mom taught us to laugh at ourselves!

Titanic

It took me hooooooooooooooours to do this! When I first bought all the supplies for it I was so pumped. I knew exactly what I wanted to do to it. Then.....a week or two went by annnnnnnd brain dead. Crap.... Wow HUGE lesson on journaling right there for me. HOWEVER....maybe that was a good thing because I JUST LOVE THE WAY IT TURNED OUT! Thanks to Laurel for sending me a sleeve of different colored ric rack. I would never have bought that yellow color and it just sets the whole page for me. It's a color that doesn't really overpower the page.

The coloring doesn't quite match up online because I took the first picture with a flash but the second page kept giving me that lovely flash spot in the middle. I had to turn the flash off and hope for the best. The top burgandy/creme border peeking out on page one matches the bottom lower border on page two. I put crackle glaze on my lettering and distressed as much as I could.

I like how I tried to fix the Titanic with my trusty scrapper's floss. Hee hee!

When we went to the Exhibition in Las Vegas they give you a boarding pass and when you get to the end, you can look on the wall and see if your passenger made it or not. Ours did so that was a nice way to end the tour. LOL! We also found the name of a relative, Silvey (our last name). I always thought Mike, my DH was kidding about having family on the Titanic. NOPE!

My Cowboy

I came across this picture from May 2001, while rummaging through papers last weekend. It was about two weeks after I met my DH and our first weekend we spent together. I had a zoom lens on my camera, he was sitting on a fence (cowboys do that a lot - lol) and was just playing but I love the way it turned out! It was so hard for me to not add anymore to the page....cuz I'm like that - lol......but I think it's just perfect. I have to admit it's one of my favorite pieces I've ever done.

He doesn't cowboy anymore. When we moved he had to change his profession. He's an Explosives Technician now. If he was ever going to change from working on a ranch, which he loved, settling for "blowing shit up" is a great 2nd best for him. LOL!

NHRA 2007

Since we are going to Seattle to watch NHRA drag racing I thought I should finish off my pictures from last season before I get more pictures this year. Wow waaaay behind!! This is my favorite and once again looks much more colorful and vibrant IRL. Some of you will know who this man is but for others who don't, the is one of the men that made drag racing what it is today. His name is John Force and I actually got to meet him! He WAS looking at the camera but Mike wasn't quick enough but that's okay. He made up for that when we went to Las Vegas in April and took a great snap shot of me and Terry Fator!! I'll post that too when I'm finished.

New Year's 2007-08

Ok, so I'm a little behind. LOL!! I had a hard time with this page because of the colors. They aren't really "in" right now so finding stuff to match each other in my stash was tough - but successful!! YAY! My sister and I don't drink too often but for some reason felt it needed to be done this year. Who knows why. We couldn't have been too bad tho because we felt okay the next day. LOL! And yes, a few pictures we look stupid as hell but we can't always show just our "pretty" side can we? Here's for a few laughs. Ya sorry Simone....not really...snicker!! :)

More Pages

This set is of my DH in his Sunday best (love the "do" - he'd kill me for putting this out there!) on the right. My stepdad, Lance, is on the left. They both bought remote control helicopter's within the same month but before either of them new. BIG KIDZ!!
This layout is of my DH again and his two kids Sara and Ryan. Unfortunately, they now live 10hrs away from us so we don't get to seem them often but we make the most of the time we do spend together. I always say if there is anything my DH does better then anything in the world, it's being a dad. He does his best and he loves these kids with all his heart.

Scrapbook Layouts

Even thought it may seem I do nothing but cards (and it feels like it lately), I really do scrapbook as well. Two weekends ago I went to a local scrapping fundraiser at a school not even three blocks away! Well, that jump started me again and good thing as I have a Las Vegas trip coming up this week that I'm sure will be a full album in itself. Here's a few from my recent very long but exciting session!

Goofin' Around

I do enjoy scrapbooking too and had this layout almost done. BUT!!! For some reason or other just couldn't finish it off until today. YAY!! It was a fun one and I love the glitter paper!
