Papertake Weekly Challenge

So I thought I would enter my first ever recipe challenge.  I've been scared of them before - lol!  And if once why not twice?

This first one is made using Simply Betty Stamps, Back To School Emo digi's "Rio", which are now available for purchase at the SBS website.  Isn't she a doll?

My recipe on this one is 3 alpha's, 2 border punch layers  and 1 flower bouquet.  For extra credit I added 4 green brads.  LOL!

This second one uses Simply Betty Stamps, Back To School Emo digi's "Miller", which are now available for purchase at the SBS website.  Isn't he a little nut?  You can't see it as well on the picture as you can IRL but the saying on the side says "Do I have a test tomorrow?"

My recipe on this one is 3 layers, 2 paper clips and 1 rockin' image.   For extra credit on this one I used 4 buttons.  hee hee  I never did this well in school.  LOL!!

There you have it!!  Stay tuned for more Back to School Emo's and for more samples of the new cards please view them at Simply Betty Stamps blog.  The blog hop was August 15th but if you'd like to take a gander at the other DT's cards the list is there.

Enjoy your last week of summer!!

Lil Lolita Boutique Challenge #11

I've used this image of Lilith (Tickled Pink Stamps) before but since she was holding the rose, I knew she had to be on this card.  She's one of my favorites and for some reason I can just hear her saying "What attitude" not really a question and all cool, calm and sarcastically oblivious.  Oh and I'm sure she'd appreciate the black rose on the card too.  hee hee.

If you enlarge the picture you might be able to see some Glossy Accents on it - it's suppose to look like dew drops.  I also added Glossy Accents to her headband, skull and rose.  Looks great....IRL.  LOL!!

Please don't forget to go and check
out the other ladies gorgeous creations

For more inspiration I used the sketch from
only I turned mine sideways.
Love them!!  THANKS!

The Burtonesque Dolls Challenge #16

CHALLENGE #16 - VINCENT

When I first read our challenge for this week I was thinking WTH?!!  How and what am I going to come up with but after viewing the poem and then reading it again it was easy!!  Here you can read the POEM and here you can VIEW it.  It's 6 mins and if you do watch it, watch for a tree or something that I swear to goodness was used in Beetlejuice.  Tell me if you see it too.  So, I chose the 2nd paragraph, 2nd sentence:

He doesn’t mind living with his sister, dog and cats
Though he’d rather share a home with spiders and bats
There he could reflect on the horrors he’s invented
And wander dark hallways, alone and tormented

Admittedly, many of us hadn't seen the video for this, but once we did, we were hooked! So this week's challenge is to take a paragraph from the poem and use it for the basis of your card or project.

Can't wait to see what you all come up with!!
