Magnolia-licious Challenge

Hello glad to see you back!!  I couldn't wait to share this project with you this week.  I used the new "Tilda With Big Cup of Ice Cream" from the brand new "LOVE" collection and "Strawberry Ice Cream" (cone) from the older 2009 Lazy Summer Days collection.  Yippeeeeee I finally got to use it!!

I love the way her dress turned out but just so you know, it took 4 tries.  LMBO!  It doesn't come easily but nor did Copics.  PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!!

Don't ya just love the ice cream scoop charm?  Between that and the papers, which are also a Magnolia product, I was so happy to be able to use some stash!!  I knew I was holding it for the right moment!!  LOL!!  I also added some pretty opaque pink ribbon under the white rose ribbon to add some more texture.  LOVE texture!!  :)

This week our wonderful teamie Chris has come up with another gorgeous picture for the inspiration challenge going on right now at Magnolia-licious.  You could pull all kinds of idea's from this picture couldn't you?

As always our dear Diana has a prize ready for this challenge's winner!

I made a little chocolate box using my Silhouette and paired it up to Fresh Picked Flowers" from LDRS.  This month the girls are showcasing FLOWERS AND HEARTS so PERFECT! This is right up my ally!  hee hee!

I used papers Echo Park's "Yours Truly" collection including some of the journaling cards and tabs that came with them. WE'RE BACK!! Magnolia-licious Challenge

Phew!  Doesn't it feel like we've been away for a long time?  How did you like how long you had for the last challenge?  hee hee
For this card I used 2 images from the Little Christmas collection "Dancing w/Stars" and "Little Tilda". I distressed many layers and added Stardust stickles to the edges. I see after I colored these that Diana doesn't have them in the store but if you're interested in them it's possible that she might bring them in.

I used a Maya chipboard snowflake, covered it in Adirondack "Pearl" acrylic paint (dabber), let it dry and the add Liquid Accents and covered with Glitter Ritz "Warm Highlight" glitter.  Oooo so pretty especially in real life!!

This is the inspiration photo from my great teamie Chris.  You can use a supporting color, and I've used a slight bit of green but still within the Copic "E" family and incorporating the browns, creams and greys.  Head on over to Magnolia-licious challenge blog to find some more gorgeous ideas.

And as usual Diana is offering a lovely gift package.

Now I have a bit more information for you and then I'm done.  Long post today!!

Little Darlings - Hearts & Flowers

Today I'm showing you a card using an image from Little Darlings Rubber Stamps.  Why?  BECAUSE THEY ASKED ME TO BE A GUEST FOR JAN and FEB!!!  Doing the happy dance....da da daaa, da da!

Did you know LD now carries Saturated Canary rubber stamps?  There's quite a collection in stock including this cutie called "Valentine Petals" which comes with 3 super cute sentiments.

So this month Little Darlings Design Team Inspirations, are featuring hearts and flowers.  Right up my alley!

I cut all 3 hearts using a few different Tim Holtz movers and shapers dies,  covered them with patterned paper and then distressed them.  The red hearts with a white bow were wood buttons from Prima that had a different pattern on them but didn't match so I colored them up using Color box chalk.  The black and white string is also from Tim Holtz.

Oh and of course I colored using Copics and then covered the rest with Wild Orchid Crafts flowers.

Enjoy your weekend!!

Jingle Jangle Tilda

I'm somewhat relieved this card isn't for a DT challenge because I wrote down NOTHING.  LOL!  No supplies list or Copic colors but if you do want anything let me know.  It's just a quick post because I really wanted to share this one. I love playing with those reds and browns.

I'm going to play along in the following challenges:

Merry Christmas to the Dunbars!

I have been waiting and waiting and waiting to share but I wanted to make sure it got to the recipient first and FINALLY!  She may as well live in Alaska for crying out loud!  Ok I'm done buggin you Chris.  LOL!!

Look at that!  I used my favorite winter snowflake punch from Tim Holtz.  The star was from Kaisercraft (I think), the little stars are from Southern Ridge Trading Company and I covered them with white acrylic paint and then with that Viva Decor stuff.  Oh and the paper is from Bo Bunny.  Thanks Buddie!!  If you click on the picture you can see the glitter on the ice better.  I had a hard time giving this card up.  LOL!!  But I knew it was going to a great home.

I'm going to enter my card into the following great challenges:
