Magnolia All About Boys

Welcome back for a new challenge at Magnolia-licious and Wee Stamps challenge blog.  This time it's

ALL ABOUT THE BOYS!!

I'm sure we all know how underused poor Edwin gets, including by myself, so I thought this was a great way to get him some blog time.  LOL!!  You don't necessarily have to use an Edwin as long as the card is about the challenge but when I saw it, I thought it was the perfect chance to use a new stamp that I didn't get a chance to color up until now.    YAY!!

I used "Ski Edwin w/Snowflakes' unfortunately he's not in the shop right now but I guess that's what happens when you make a card over a month ago.  LOL!!  If you're interested in the image you can email a request to have it brought in but there are lots of other super cute Edwin's here as well.  I also used the Magnolia doohickey's "Slender Firs" and coated them with Twinklettes.

As always, Diana will be giving away her usual generous package to a random winner:

Game On!!

Sooooo as some of my friends know, I HATE making men's cards.  I think I've finally figured out WHY.  It's not that I hate making the card.  It's that it takes me forever to come up with the idea.  I feel like how many more fishing, camping, golfing, hockey cards do I have left in me?!  So I was happy to find this "Game On" digi from Mo Manning.  He still plays occasionally and even with friends online.  I'm sure it's a great release for him after a long work week, just as my lovely craft room is for me.  hee hee

I used the "Awesome" Simple Stories collection for the papers and the border star sticker.  They make it so easy to put together a card.  LOVE THEM!!

THANKS FOR LOOKING MY FRIENDS!!

Springtime Saturated Canary

I just felt like coloring!  My sister was here a week ago for a few days so we taught each other a few things.  She taught me how to color hair image with lots of hair like the Saturated Canary's.  Always something to practice isn't there?

This image is called Springtime which you can buy for only $2 from Krista's online store.  I just love her hair and the image does come with the flowers and some grass but I added more.  It was also my first time with clouds...ya, still perfecting that one.  LOL!!

The butterfly is from Southern Ridge Trading Company, who will be online soon.

I  used lots of Copics but since this wasn't really for any DT I got lazy about listing supplies and Copic colors.  LOL!  Let me know if you are curious about anything.  Although, I will make a plug for Little Darlings Rubber Stamps as Angie has a great selection of rubber Saturated Canary images among other images.

These cute bunnies are also from Southern Ridge Trading Company.  I painted them with white acrylic paint first then covered them with white flock and popped a self adhesive pearl on for the tail.  I soooo wished I had a pom-pom...OMG I just realized I do!  It's on ribbon but DARN IT!!  Oh well.  LOL!

Enjoy your week everyone!!

Magnolia & Wee Birthday Challenge

I have lots of new exciting news to share with you today!  Diana has started selling those gorgeous Wee Stamps by Sylvia Zet on the Magnolia-Licious Store.  What a great addition to her Magnolia family!   They are in the store right now and 10% off until Feb. 14th.

This also means that now you can use a Magnolia or Wee image for the challenge.  Sweet huh?!!!

Our challenges are changing from photo and color inspirations to themes so today our challenge is:

BIRTHDAYS!!

For this challenge I used Pink Ribbon Tilda from the Love Collection and paired her up with papers from the same collection.  I LOVE doing black, pink and white/grey combo's but it's challenging to take pictures of black.  I found my inner Sharon Caudle and brought out the bows!!  LOL!

Of course, as every challenge, Diana will be awarding a fabulous Magnolia prize.

AND please check out the gorgeous new Easter collection!!  There are a bunch of super cuties there and good luck picking only a few out.  LOL!!

Little Darlings Rubber Stamps - SC

Today I get to share a really cute image called BellaShe's a Saturated Canary and you can find her at Little Darlings Rubber Stamps.  I decided to make a non-traditional colored Valentine's card for my SIL.

The papers are from Simple Stories, I used lots of flowers from Wild Orchid and the domino piece was from Prima.  Cute huh?  I also used this SWEET sentiment from Southern Ridge Trading Co. and soon I'll be linking those up so you can check them out on a new website.  The sentiment is made from chipboard but I sprayed it with Biscotti Perfect Pearls Mists and distressed the edges once it dried.

Check out all the new images available at Little Darlings Rubber stamps that were released at CHA.  They are ready to be shipped to your hot little hands!  LOL!

Enjoy your weekend everybody and thanks for visiting!!

Stamps: Saturated Canary "Bella"
Paper:  Simple Stories "Baby Steps"
Embellishments: Prima domino, Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, ribbon and pink rose ribbon

LDRS - What A Sweetheart!

So today I'm here for no other reason then to share this card.  FUN HUH?!!  Ok WAIT!  I might also be here to mention something a few of you may know already.  In my last post I edited it and put my news is but I'm sure it got missed since I came in AFTER I posted.

I'M ON THE LITTLE DARLINGS DESIGN TEAM!!!  Yipppeeeee!  I'm a little freaked out because there is some seriously amazing talent there so I'm just gonna make sure I pull up my socks.  hee hee  But it's always good to challenge yourself right?

This card is made using Angie's "What a Sweetheart" image.  I just thought she looked so dainty so wanted to make the card accordingly.  I used this very pretty intricate die cut from Southern Ridge Trading Company.  Same with the adorable little butterflies.  I also added some Stickles around the borders on a few layers, which you might be able to see better if you click on the picture.

You can check out some new 12 x 12 papers at Little Darlings Rubber Stamps called Summer Sorbet and Fruit Basket.  The patterns are nice and small so they're great for cardmakers too.  There are also some very sweet 6 x 6 pads called Caladium and Chocolate Covered Cherry

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY!
