Magnolia "W"enesday

So sorry I'm a little late today!!  I just realized it's Wednesday not Tuesday!  Oh my what is my world coming too.  LOL!!

Welcome to something new at Magnolia-licious and Wee Stamps!!  On Wednesday's we are doing something a little different now.  Not only are we showing Wee stamps that Magnolia-licious is now carrying, we're also displaying the Wild Rose Studio images new to the store as well.

This image is "Hanging Gifts" but there are many more Wild Rose cuties available now.

I wanted to keep my card a little simpler than my previous ones.  The paper is "Father Christmas" from Bo Bunny and the flowers are from???  OF COURSE!!  WILD ORCHID.  LOL!!  So is the wooden star and bells.  The little white flower buds and shabby white seam binding are from Live and Love Crafts.

BURGUNDY COMBO
For years I have been trying to figure out a burgundy color combo that works well.  I have finally found one that I'm happy with but there's a trick!!

First you have to apply E13, 15 and 19.  In that order.  Then I go backwards over it starting with R89, R39 then quickly swipe with R56 to finish.  If you need the darker area's to be darker, go back with R89 and then flick using R39.  Took a few times but I thought it worked out not too bad.

The challenge going on at Magnolia-licious and Wee Stamps right is Lacey Lace!  Pop over and check out all the gorgeous inspiration and for goodness sake why don't you join up?!! :)

Thanks for stopping by!

LD Presents for Everyone

New images coming to Little Darlings Rubber Stamps soon!!  September in fact!!  This little Christmas cutie is from the Little Darlings line called "Presents for Everyone."  The calendar is a new image included on a sheet of stamps called "Fun Frigid" stamp set.

I decided to make a gift bag and have added some Wild Orchid flowers and lots of lace pieces.  I made this before CHA so I'm sure I'm forgetting some details and so this is definitely a short post.  LOL!

The Doohickey's are from Magnolia and I've added some Twinklettes to the "Slender Firs".  One of my favorite pieces to use on my Christmas cards.

If you'd like to keep up with all the newest images coming out in September check out Little Darlings Design Team Inspirations blog.  Lots of new stuff to check out!

Please let me know if you have any questions and thanks for looking!!

Live & Love Crafts "It's a Wonderful World"

This week at Live and Love Crafts the theme for the ladies was from the song "It's a Wonderful World".  I chose to focus on those actual words as my theme and how wonderful a world it can be during Christmas.  Every one is in such a great mood!!

I used a gorgeous image from the Christmas Time vintage images, covered the image using Champagne Versamark and 4 coats of UTEE then cracked it.  In real life it has a bit of a shimmer behind it because of the Champagne Versamark.

A piece of me wanted to cover this with embellishments buuuuut I just love those laces so much that I tried to keep them visible.  Not easy to refrain I might add.  LOL!!  I also added the "Joyful Noel" sentiment from the Maja "It's Christmas Time" papers in the Melissa Frances frame from LLC.

I used the Magnolia Poinsettia doohickey and distressed all edges with cocoa Momento ink and then glittered them up with platinum Stickles.  I also added the platinum Stickles to a lot of the layers as well.  I covered much of the card using shabby white frantage, including the Magnolia Doohickey Swirl.

Lastly this lamp post is a Tim Holtz die that I covered with TH Picket Fence distress crackle paint.  Love the way that crackle makes it look so old and vintage-like.

Don't forget about our challenge this month at Live & Love Crafts "Warm or Cool Colors".  You do NOT have to use anything from LLC to enter, although it would be great!  Any card you make this month with this theme just add it!!  :)

I just want to enter into the following:

Crafts and Me Challenge - Anything Goes

Have a great weekend my creative friends!!

LLC August Challenge

Well a month has gone by already and now we're on to our next challenge:

WARM COLORS

I started out with Maya's "Vintage Spring Basics" and a selection of yellow papers but the more you pile on the less you can see it.  LOL!  The image is from LLC called Bouquet from Grandma's Attic and you get 11 tinted images on a 12" x 12" page so lots of selection.

I punched a Tim Holtz butterfly border using corrugated cardboard (just scrap) and added some gesso.  A technique I discovered from my teamie Tracy at Crafteezee.  (If you have never seen her stuff before O-M-G).  Of course I added lots of Wild Orchid flowers and some more flowers and lace from LLC.

I punched some Martha Stewart butterflies to rest overtop of my cardboard butterflies and added a sweet steampunk looking charm from LLC.

I covered the chipboard bird from Maya Road with some more paper from the Vintage Spring Basics pad and glued it to the wooden birdcage I found at Michaels.  It's also covered with some gesso along with the Tim Holtz tickets.  Well actually along with pretty much my whole card.  LOL!

This card is for sale on our Esty store:

You can click on the link to take you to the place where I have purchased my products.

LDRS Lisbeth "Reserved for You"

WOO HOO CHA IS FINALLY HERE and we can SHARE!!  YAY!!  So my first project is from the Lisbeth line and a new image called "Reserved For You".  I made an easel card with a drawer to fill with tea but you could fill it with anything.  I also used the Summer Sorbet papers from LDRS.  I just love the fun bright colors of that collection.

Here is a picture of the card/drawer as it's closed.  I added a Doohickey cloud and then the heart tag using the Summer Sorbet papers too.

Here she is sitting in her full upright position and staying in place with some big FAT pearls.  Don't you just love that big cushion waiting for a friend to sit on so you can drink some tea together?

Annnnnd finally open to show the drawer filled with goodies!

There you have it!!  One of the cutie Lisbeth images!  I hope you enjoyed my project and the other great DT's pieces.  I had so much fun making this one that I'm thinking of doing it again soon!

Have a great weekend!!

Magnolia-licious & Wee Wednesday

Hello!  I'm back with another card for Magnolia-licious & Wee Stamps and today I'm bringing you a Christmas Wee image called Christmas Bunny.  Couldn't you just give him one of those squishy hugs where he almost inaudibly gasps "Can you please let go?!"  LMBO!
I've used Magnolia's Spruce Twig Doohickey and painted a little white Gesso on the tips.  I've got some amazing rolled flowers and Kort & Godt flowers from LLC.  So pretty!  I also have some Wild Orchid flowers and a few Tim Holtz pine cones.

Don't you love the resin frame?  It's from Live & Love Crafts along with the lace and red berries.  I added some Crackle Accents to the resin frame to give it a cracked vintage feeling.

Thanks so much for visiting today and I hope you get a chance to check out the other inspiration on Wee Wednesday at Magnolia-licious & Wee Stamps.
