Blog Candy & LLC "Anything Goes"

CANDY CLOSED!  THANKS FOR ENTERING!

THIS IS SO EXCITING because I haven't shared anything like this project for a long time.  My post is so picture heavy but it's worth it when you get to the end I PROMISE cuz there's

BLOG CANDY!!!  WOO WOO!

This week at LLC Inspiration we had an "Anything Goes" theme so I found this "LOVE" box at Michaels and covered it with the new gorgeous papers "Sofiero" available at LLC.  Oh such soft and feminine papers that are soooo nice to work with!!  When I covered the "LOVE" layer I distressed it all with Momento Cocoa ink.

Side view - as you can see I added lace around the whole lid, layered up the side with a Magnolia Doohickey, a swirl die cut and handmade shabby flower covered with Frantage.

The bouquet is built using a Magnolia Shabby chic tuelle rose available at LLC, along with some Kort & Godt white flowers, rolled flowers and some pretty white sprays.  I even snuck in a vintage image from the "Bouquet" tinted images from Grandma's Attic.

I covered some Maya wings with some gesso and the Maya heart with "Shabby Pink" Frantage with a shabby chic seam binding double bow.

Here I took one of the clock clips and covered that with the "Shabby Pink" frantage.  Boy that stuff works well with metal!!  Those resin hearts from Melissa Frances are soooo pretty too!  Of course I added some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers here and there and a sweet Prima cloth flower.

HERE'S THE BLOG CANDY

OK SO!!  I am offering to one lucky person the WHOLE SHABANG!!  Well if you just want the goodies and not the box I'm fine with that.  hee hee

So now you're wondering what you have to do in order to win one of these great pieces of blog candy.  Well, not much really!!

JUST leave a comment and email address if you can't be reached by having me reply to your comment.

If you want to add the picture of my blog to your sidebar or repost to Facebook I'd love that but not necessary to win.  I wanna make it easy!

WHY the blog candy?  Just to say thank you for all of you who leave me comments when you have time.  I know how time consuming it can be but I truly appreciate it!

Magnolia-licious Stamps, Dies and so Much More

Hello friends!  Today I'm showing you a beach scene I masked using some mini Tilda's.  The main image is "Vintage Swedish Coast Cottage"and I used some GORGEOUS papers from the new Sea Breeze collection.  A really neat new feature of these papers is that they are double-sided.  I LOVE THAT!  The mini images are "Seashell Tilda" and  "Summer Bathing Tilda".  I was so happy to get this image masked in only 2 tries.  LOL!  FLUKE!
I added some gorgeous Melissa Frances ribbon from LLC, a couple of seashells, doily and wrapped some twine around a spool. AND OF COURSE added some Gesso all ova!!!  Love that stuff!
New to Magnolia-licious Stamps, Dies and so Much More:

LDRS SC "Cherry On Top"

Soooooooo ISN'T SHE CUTE?!!  One of the new Saturated Canary images coming to Little Darlings Rubber Stamps in September called "Cherry On Top".  This is a frame from Michael's that I covered up using "Summer Sorbet" from LDRS then added a whole lot of shabby chic white Frantage.  A WHOLE LOT!  LOL!!

I even made my own shabby flower, popped a center on there and added some more shabby white Frantage.  I rolled a bazillion flowers myself and added a Melissa Frances pearl to each of them.  I had no idea it would take me as long as it did either.  Crazy!

The butterflies are from a bracelet I don't wear anymore because the silver isn't so silver.  Heck then let's cover that up with some shabby pink Frantage and use those for embellishments!!  ha ha ha!  I did this on another card not too long ago and they are so darn cute!

I found some good sized chipboard letters in my scrapbook supplies (that I hardly ever touch anymore) so what did I do?  FRANTAGE!!!  It seems once you start you can't stop.  LOL!!

So there you have it folks!  Makin' this little Cherry look as good as I can!!  The one thing I hate about CHA is knowing what's coming but not being able to play with it for about 6-8 weeks after previews hit various blogs and Facebook.  The waiting just kills me!!  LOL!  But good things are worth waiting for right?!

Thanks for checking us out today!
Hope you're enjoying your weekend,

LLC "Once Upon A Time"

This week at Live and Love Crafts our inspiration theme is "Once Upon A Time".  I thought about the typical fairy tales and books I've read but decided to go with a real life story after seeing this photo surface on Facebook.  It belongs to a friend of mine, Nancy Schaub.  (More details further down the post.)  She said this picture of her and her mom was taken in 1950.

I've used papers from Pion's "Alma's Sewing Room" and hated covering it up but it still looks so pretty.  I've distressed everything including the Vintage Box Lacing Chocolate border die.  Also added the resin pieces for some texture.  Aren't they gorgeous?!

I made a shabby chic bow using some seam binding from LLC, added some brown tulle behind the bow and popped a vintage pearl in the center of it.

I'm sooooooo excited that LLC is carrying Wild Orchid Crafts flowers now.  LOVE THEM!!  They go so well with the Kort and Godt rolled flowers that I've added a Melissa Frances pearl to.  Oh and don't you just love the bark hearts?!!  YES!!

Nancy is the little girl here in the picture and has now retired and has kids of her own.  She said her mom made the dress in a color she just loved.  I think it's soooo super cute!!  She is too.  What a pretty picture and so inspiring.  Nancy loves anything "Once Upon A Time" so I wanted to dedicate this post to her.  She's such a lovely lady!  I hope I've done her photo justice. I tried to find matching papers for this photo but nothing was working so then I thought,  "BLACK and WHITE"....I actually ended up tinting it more of a sepia color but it's kind of hard to tell in my photo's.

Don't forget about the WARM/COOL challenge at LLC this month!

Also, Live and Love Crafts has started carrying Wild Orchid Craft flowers.  ONE STOP SHOP!  What a brilliant idea huh?!

NEW PAPERS from Pion!!  WOOO HOOO!  Wanna start on your Christmas cards?  I know I do!!
