Letters to Santa

If this image isn't cute I don't know what is!!  So here I am staring at my card and it looks amazing all lit up with my lights but why is it so hard to get that look transferred online?!!  Here it just shows grey!  So frustrating but I hope you get the picture.  No pun intended...hee hee!!

This image is from LDRS's Candibean line called "Letters to Santa".  I've even used the new papers called "Frigid Fun" also available at LDRS.  They have some really cool blue papers in the collection as well.

Aren't these the cutest little mitts ever?!!!  They are from Southern Ridge Trading Company but pieces I managed to pick up when I was at a crop.  Same with the chipboard snowflakes.  Luv 'em!

Once again my Wild Orchid Crafts bouquet but aren't you surprised at how small it is?  LOL!  I just really wanted to show off more of these gorgeous papers so I refrained.  hee hee

A little hard to see but I've added some Martha Stewart texture and then while it was still wet, some GlitterRitz glitter as well.  It's sooo pretty IRL!

OH AND I just thought I'd show you my little tag!!  The sentiment is from LDRS called "Frigid Fun" and there are a few more really sweet pieces to that collection too.

Well friends, that's it for me this time!!
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your week!!

Crafty Sentiments Christmas Release

Today is Day 3 of previews for new images from Crafty Sentiments called "Angel".  You can see more examples of this new image at Crafty Sentiments inspiration blog as well as images from day one and day two!  They are CUTE and such perfect images for this year's Christmas cards.

This one is decked out with a pine needle border I just got from Memory Box.  Isn't it pretty?  I colored her with my Copics and added some glitter to her wings and under her feet.

I've added some charming Prima note clips and bark stars available at Live and Love Crafts.  The tag is a Magnolia Doohickey "So Wrapped Lovely" wrapped with some shabby seam binding from LLC.  Yup ok I have lots of supplies from LLC!  My favorite store!!

I doubt you'll even get away from any of my cards without seeing some kind of Wild Orchid Crafts bouquet.  This one has a few more things than just flowers.  I made some pine cones from the Tim Holtz die (that takes patience - lol), the mini Christmas tree is from Fancy Pants and the the cherub is available again at LLC.  :)

This stamp and more will be available for purchase tomorrow but UK time so a little earlier than what time we are up here in Canada.  I'll still be sleeping for awhile yet when this posts.  LOL!

Thank you to Crafty Sentiments for asking me to be a guest designer to help preview their new line of images.  Have a great week all!

Live and Love Crafts - New Maja Papers

OH how I loooove playing with new papers and even while I'm sitting here typing this I want to run back into my craft room and start playing again!!  I didn't realize how many pretties I added to this until I actually did up my "ingredient" list below.  LOL!

As you can see I decorated up a paper bag and started with pink Maja papers and then layered with some jute fabric.  The pretty image is from Pion Design's "Grandma's Attic/Tinted - Bouquet".  I also used a tag from the new papers and added a Tim Holtz clip and Gesso.

The "Timeless" piece is from one of the edges of the paper so I thought I'd add that to my Wild Orchid and Kort & Godt bouquet.

The butterfly is from some older Pion papers and I'll edit this later when I find out what they are.  Those are so super handy and match a lot of different papers.  I added the Magnolia Doohickey Swirl dies and initially didn't set out to have it look like an extended butterfly but thought it looked pretty neat so left it!!  LOL!  And of course, everything is covered with Gesso.

Did you get a chance to enter Sandy's "Think Pink" giveaway?  I wish I could enter!!  LOL!

As always I wish you a happy and creative weekend!!

Hugs,

Live and Love Crafts - Roses are Red

Roses Are Red
And Violets Are Blue

is this weeks inspiration theme but lemme tell you all I saw in that whole phrase were 2 words.
"Blue" and "Roses"!!   hee hee

This week I decided to create a calendar inspired by a few of the girls at LLC.  I used an image from the new Pion papers "Wintertime in Swedish Lapland" and many extra's from the same collection.

I had a few stars and a moose that I colored with Tim Holtz's distress paint and covered with TH distress crackle paint.  I even distressed the edges of the stars before adding the crackle paint to give it more of an aged look.  I added a tag with some shabby seam binding and a set of wings.

I did the same thing with the lamp post as above, inserted a few small pieces from the Pion papers and created another gorgeous Wild Orchid bouquet.

As soon as November is over, you can take it off and December is right behind it.  I set up the paperclips so it can be held at the top and the left hand papers are unglued so you could slide in some of the edge of a  new calendar.  A person could actually create more calendars if they wanted to leave it up for winter.

Don't forget about our PINK challenge this month at LLC

As well as Sandy's GIVEAWAY at LLC this month!

So I hope you liked my first calendar!!  I am sooooooo making a bunch more of these.  Maybe even one for myself?  How hard is it for us to keep something we made for us?  I don't know about you but I find it tough.  Let me know if you have a tough time with that.  I'm curious.  :)

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!
