Stampin' For the Weekend Challenge

This is the first time I've entered into Stampin' For the Weekend challenge and although I didn't make the card on the weekend, I did color this  image on the weekend.  I'm sure it's not a requirement tho.  hee hee. This week's theme is "Anything Goes".  I did use the sketch from Cute Card Thursday but I was too late to enter that challenge.  DOH!

Isn't she a cutie?  This is "London" from the Back to School Emo digi line from Simply Betty Stamps.  She's a digi stamp and available now at SBS.  I love this color combo and have no idea why.  It's strange to me that it works.  LOL!

The Burtonesque Dolls Challenge #12

Sounds easy doesn't it?!  NOT!!  I got wound around an idea that I just couldn't bring together so this is what I ended up with.  I fully understand the meaning of "CHALLENGE".  LOL!  I'd love to see some of your creations!!!

This week we were sponsored by Michelle Perkett digi images and Michelle was generous enough to provide this image to me.  THANKS MICHELLE!!  Don't forget to check out all the other DT creations for this week. FABULOUS!

Here's the details from TBD blog for this week's challenge:

Now for this week's challenge! Christmas in July seems to be a very popular theme this year. But you know us - we have to put the Burtonesque spin on it. So our challenge is The Nightmare Before Christmas in July! We're dying to see how you fuse Halloween and Christmas on this one! And this week we are sponsored by Michelle Perkett Studios.

Michelle Perkett began her line of cards and prints in 2004 and first began selling them in gift shops and trade shows across the US. In 2009, Michelle started selling her designs as digital stamps and since then has designed for The Angel Company, Faerie Song and is working with a company in the UK who will be selling her stamps on QVC UK this summer!

PRIZE ALERT!!  Michelle has provided 4 digi images (most, if not all) seen on TBD creations.  SO!!  Dig out your xmas or Halloween papers and hop to it!!  :)

"Kickin' It For Michelle" Card Drive

When I saw Michelle Oatman's story my heart went out to her so
I joined the card drive, which you can find over at

Here's a little info from A Spoon Full of Sugar blog, where she happens to be a DT member.

"We would like to share some sad news today, some of you may already know from her blog, our design team member Michelle had an accident about two weeks ago, which has left her with the loss of her right eye and a long road of recovery ahead. In an effort to cheer her up and raise awareness for what happened to Michelle we are holding a card drive in her honor. We have many generous companies and individuals helping us with this special card drive and we hope you will help too!

We are asking that everyone please create a card in dedication to Michelle and mail it off to her. We would love nothing more than to flood her mailbox with well wishes from around the world. Michelle has shared so much of herself on her blog and in her design team work and this is a just a small way for us to give back to her."

If you would like to learn more please visit A Spoon Full of Sugar

So, this is my little piece I'm sending over to her.  Isn't that the cutest image?  I got it from Whimsy Stamps and it's a freebie there so if you get a chance, please grab it and make up a card for Michelle.

And as you know me, I always make my cards dual purpose but my 2nd purpose wasn't as dedicated (no offence) as the first purpose.  I used one of my favorite blogs:

Papertake Weekly Challenge #43

Yesterday my MIL asked me how some cards were coming along for her 2 friend's bday's.  I hadn't even started them knowing I had lots of time between now and Friday.  Well NOOOOOOOO!  She needed them for the next day!!  Aaaaa ha ha ha!!  I'm thinking there's no way I can but I said I would so I did!!  I can't believe I made this card and the next post all in the same afternoon.  Some people can make cards really fast.  I am NOT one of them but apparently I work better under pressure.  :)

This digi stamp called "Tulip Buggies" is from Meljen's Designs and all their images are soooo kaUTE so I'm entering this card into Papertake Weekly Challenge for the sketch below.   I just thought this was so summery!

***Speaking of which (later added) I have also entered into Meljen's Designs summer theme Challenge #12 -  Ribbons, fibers or lace!!  Love lace!!

Digital Delights Gallery

Sorry for the blurry picture.  My DH is hunting so took the camera with him and I can't hold my Blackberry still enough!  This is my first digi stamp I've used and I got him from Digital Delights Gallery from Freebie Friday! I am so shocked how well the Copics worked.  They have some very cute images and this card goes out to my SIL and brother who have just had their 2nd baby.  Congrats Mike, Sami & Journey and welcome Meakin!

I put white flocking on the cloud and glitter on his wings.  Much sweeter IRL!
