The Burtonesque Dolls Challenge #6

Hello! (see me frantically waving?!)  This week's challenge over at The Burtonesque Dolls is sponsored by Simply Betty Stamps.  You are to make a card/project inspired by SWEENY TODD using decorative scissors or paper distressing tools (e.g. Tim Holtz craft scratcher or distressing tool).

*******This just in!  Prize alert - LOL...  Well, that is the good part.  The winner of this weeks competition has the chance to win two (2!) Simply Betty Stamps.  You will receive Miller and Betty so go get your creep on and enter this weeks Sweeney Todd inspired fun!*******
Poor poor Ms. Lovett.  She was sooooooo in love with Mr. Sweeny Todd but it would end up being the death of her.  OH MY GAWD have you seen this movie?!!  Grossed the beejezus out of me but I was telling the other dolls I'm a pansy when it comes to gore.  I'm sure it wasn't as bad as .... ok, well it was kinda yucky!  LOL!!

This week's stamp is called "Rio" and I colored her with Copics.  I have distressed almost all of my edges with the Heidi Swapp distressing tool and added some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers.  I used Martha Stewart's goo punch for dripping blood and colored the ends of each droplet with red Stickles and then added Glaze over top for a really nice effect.  (see more deets below)

I'm entering my card in:
Charisma Cardz Challenge - flowers
Create4fun Challenge - white, black and 1 more color (had to use green for her eyes tho)

The Burtonesque Dolls Challenge #5

This week at The Burtonesque Dolls we are showcasing digi stamps from Tiddly Inks.  I had played with a few of these before I became a DT for TBD and think they are just adorable!!  Christy has a new Goth line but many other VERY cute images.
This week's challenge is to create a card or project with Sleepy Hollow-ish scenery... think funky trees, pumpkins, and elements from these photos and put your hero/heroine in that scene.

I chose to build a side step card, although no matter how many times I took a picture, never could quite capture the steps as much as in real life.  I used Gossmere from Tiddly Inks for this week's card, kindly donated to all the DT's from Christy.  Thanks!
We can't wait to see your take on Sleepy Hollow. You have until 10:00 p.m. Pacific (USA) on Monday, June 7th to link your creations for a chance to win the Tiddly Inks prize!

My First Burtonesque Dolls Challenge as a DT Member

I am so happy to show you my first card as a member of the Burtonesque Dolls and join them in their 4th challenge "An Affair To Remember".  This week we are partying with the Busy Beauties gals, Carolyn and company, who are sponsoring our challenge with a chance to win 5 images.  YES 5 IMAGES!!!
This week's inspiration comes from Timothy Burton's "The Corpse Bride".  Create a new card, ATC, scrap page or project including this theme.

I am also including 2 other challenges with my card today:
Stamptacular Sunday who requested pearls and swirls
Cute Card Thursday who offered this sketch.

On a wedding day it's all about the bride so I focused on her and her bouquet, of which were very dead flowers, in "The Corpse Bride" and used an image from Busy Beauties Boutique called "Emily~The Bride".

So grab an image and join me in this week's challenge!!
