Live and Love Crafts January Challenge

HAPPY NEW YEAR AND
 WELCOME BACK!!!

Are you all Christmas'ed out?!  I sure am and ready to make all kinds of new things this year.  More projects would be nice so we'll see how that works out for me.  LOL!

This month at Live and Love Crafts we are challenging you to find "PERFUME" as your inspiration.  For more examples visit the LLC blog as there are UH-MAZING ideas from the DT.
Of course I went directly for the Angels and pink so it was an easy pick to start with Maja's latest collection "Vintage Frost Basics".

I also used Inkido's "Vintage Angels" image.  Aren't they sweet?  AND I just got a whole whack of new dies so here is one of my favorites the new 6002/0304 Noor! Design die.  Drool.  :)

Here is the Tim Holtz "On the Edge Star Cluster" border.  Angels and stars - what a perfect match!  I also like this postcard from Maja's Vintage die cuts, which I used for one of the layers.

I filled up the left side of the card with some very pretty Kort and Godt and Wild Orchid Craft flowers, beaded berries and this precious Prima Shabby Chic Cupid.

So there you have it my first card of 2014!  WOO HOO!!

New to the LLC store:

as well as some OH SO GORGEOUS new laces.  YUM!

I hope you get a chance to join us in our first
challenge of the year.  Big hugs to everyone!

Live and Love Crafts - Anything Goes

Well this week LLC has left it wide open for us to create ANYTHING so I made a birthday card.  As much as I've been loving making Christmas cards, it was nice to be working with something different, well not different but different for this time of year.

I started with Maja Design's "Vintage Autumn Basics" and layered with a couple of doily's.  Seems like a perfect match for some shabby chicness don't ya think?

I added this Maya Road vintage wood birdcage and popped up a cute little lace bow at the top.  For the frame I backed it with some of the Autumn Basics paper and added an "hb" for the happy birthday sentiment.  OF COURSE I couldn't resist not dusting it with my new favorite new item GESSO!  LOVE THAT STUFF!

I decided to color up "Vintage Violet" from Saturated Canary available at Little Darlings Rubber Stamps, which was somewhat of a feat for me this week.  I've recently had my eyes done and the edge of the image had either a very wide line or sometimes 2 lines.  LOL!!  Ok so I don't think I'm ready for close up stuff yet but everything else is all good.  Now we're just into the fine tuning part of things.  hee hee

In my bouquet on the left I used a newer die from Spellbinders simply called "Corner Fourish" and added some gorgeous Wild Orchid flowers also available now at LLC.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Hugs,
Eulanda

Southern Ridge Trading Company

I just have to tell you about a new chipboard company that's opened up.  The owner's name is Karen Beaupre and she resides in Kamloops, BC, Canada.

In her own words:

Southern Ridge Trading Co. has been around since 1990. I have had many Creative Endeavors such as Commercial Embroidery, Ceramics, Collage, Water color painting, Acrylic painting, Scrap booking and Card making. I am committed to explore new creative paths that inspire me.
I live my life with an “Intense Creative Passion” that fills me, and I feel blessed to be able to go where the wind blows me...This latest path has me Extremely excited about my 60 watt Epilog Laser Machine which I have had for three years. It has opened my world to Die Cuts, Rubber stamps, Glass and Wood etching.
My Graphic arts skills have increased ten fold because of it and I am having the time of my life creating my own designs to offer you. Every day means more opportunity for me to design something new.
I have some amazing designers on board that help create Fabulous projects form these very versatile Die Cuts and Embellishments. I have incorporated many of them into my own Scrap Booking layouts, Cards and Collage pieces as you will see in our Gallery section. I sincerely hope that you also feel inspired to create something truly wonderful .

Here are some of my favorite designs:

So if you'd like to check out the new store she has entered a number of designs but she has many many more to add:
