LLC CHALLENGE

I'M SO GLAD TO HAVE MY LAPTOP BACK!   I thought it had a virus but it turns out just a file was corrupt and slowing down my computer.  PHEW!!

So now I have to tell you about the new challenge at Live and Love Crafts:

LOVE AND LACE!

How easy is that?!  I'm sure we'll all be making all sorts of Valentine's cards this month so you're already half way there!  I've used Maya Design's "Vintage Summer Basics" with lots of distressing on many layers.  You know me.  It's all about the layers!!  hee hee

I've used 3 dies from Noor Design - the heart border, the heart itself and the very pretty oval underneath my image layer.  If you want to know what they are just email me and I can find the numbers for you.  I just LOVE LOVE LOVE that white row of flowers with the pearls already built in and that pink colored lace is just so luxurious!!

This "LOVE" clip is one of my favorites and probably the first thing I've ever actually run out of!!

Isn't this image just the cutest?!!  As soon as I saw her I knew I had to color her up!!  A Saturated Canary digi called "Kisses" and I colored her up with Copics.  Her hair was tricky let me tell you!  My first attempt didn't work out so well.  ha ha ha!

Hey thanks for stopping by!!   it's truly appreciated!  I will be back soon to announce the winner of my monthly blog candy!!   WOO HOO!

Big Hugs!

Live and Love Crafts Pins and Pearls

Ok here is a card that challenged me!  This week at LLC pins and pearls were our inspiration.  That's not the part that challenged me.  I made the card for a friend and grad colors were gold, yellow and black.  THAT was the challenge!!  Not a super vintagey card (I'm sure that's not a word but it works for me - lol) but I've used lots of supplies from Live and Love Crafts.  I started out with some older papers from Maja Design's "Crea Diem" collection.  Very pretty!

My pins are all in my bouquet.  3 of them are pearl pins new to LLC and my 4th pin is holding my tiny "2012" tag.  A little hard to see because it has reflections on it.  Oooops hee hee.  Love the blackberries and all those extra flowers to which I added a touch of Gesso.  I also looped a few rounds of black pearls from LLC under my Prima flower I had in my stash.

AND I found a big gold tassel hidden in my stash too and who would have figured that years later it would have come in handy?!  And I tell myself I should purge my crafting supplies!!  What am I thinking?  LOL!!  The feather and ink well are Tim Holtz dies which I added some crackle paint to.
The image is called "Grad Girl 2012" from Saturated Canary and colored with my Copics.

One last picture!!  How can I NOT show you these gorgeous laces?!!  So pretty with the rhinestones on there!

Before I take off I want to let you know these papers are now available at LLC:

Well that's all I have to share today!!  I hope you have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

HUGS!

Izzy's Bunnytime

Isn't she cute?!!  This is a new image released at CHA from the CandiBean line called "Izzy's Bunnytime".  How appropriate is it that she's on a clock?  hee hee   I used papers from Maja Design called "Vintage Autumn Basics".

I colored her up with my Copics and added a few Wild Orchid Craft flowers all over.

I used some old numbers I had from when I use to scrapbook and layered using a doily die.

The sentiment is also new and showed at CHA this year and that set is called "Vintage Birthday".  There are 9 sentiments that come in the set and all so pretty!!

All new images and sentiments are now available to pre-order from LDRS, including these gorgeous dies and a few more:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!!

LLC Pion's Flower Frames

I'm back early this week with a project using Pion's new "Flower Frames" papers.  I started out making a card but ended up with this 8" x 10" canvas.  HA HA HA!  I had this need to use the frame around my photo and since it's a little big...well you get the picture.  LOL!

I made up a bouquet around this burlap flower made up of some Wild Orchid flowers, a Kort and Godt rolled flower, an apple (love those), flower sprays and new LLC pins.

The image is from a sheet of vintage images called "Bouquet".  The frame and all flourish chipboard pieces are from a new chipboard company called "Southern Ridge Trading Co.".  I painted them with TH distress paints and then sprayed some Glimmer Mists over top.  So pretty!

Add a few tags and pop some lace pieces on them and voila!  Also added this gorgeous LOVE paper clip, of which are my favorite clips so far!

Love BIG flowers but have never really had the chance to use any yet.  They seem to take over a small card, unless it's the main focal piece but this Prima flower was perfect for this.  Added that gorgeous layer of Alençon lace that peeks out from underneath and some more WO flowers.

The thing about going on Monday is that you get to start the week off by telling everyone to have a wonderful week!!  I hope it's a good one for you all!!

Hugs!
