Sketch Saturday

I managed to squeek out 2 challenges on this one.  Sketch Saturday's sketch, which I turned sideways and Charisma Cardz wanted anything Christmas.  Woo!!  Love that!  This image is from the new release of Pink Cat Studio, I used Copics to color, 3bugsinarug "Let It Snow" dp, and glitter all over!

Diaper Fold

Jeepers I completely forgot about posting this until I just found it on my camera!!  LOL!  I went to my SIL's baby shower for little baby Meakin about a week ago and managed a cute little gift card holder.  I thought it was so funny cuz it's called a DIAPER FOLD!  I was a bit disappointed that my crackle on my "M" made my ink turn darker but it started out matching the green on the card folder.  It was my first one and slightly crooked but I have never folded diapers for any reason!  LOL!

Baubles Sugar Nellie & Friday Sketchers

Ok here's my entry for the Friday Sketchers challenge.  I colored with Copics (duh), used last year's Basic Grey Figgy Pudding papers (OMG STILL LOVE THEM!), "Baubles" image from Sugar Nellie, my new Nestie (thanks mom & Simone) Labels 5, American Crafts sentiment rub on, MS border punch, EK Success leaf punch, Bo Bunny flowers, Basics Pearls, Quickutz snowflake punch, American Craft brad and Twinklets on my acetate snowflake punch.  Holi cow we use lots of stuff hey?  WOW!!  OH AND I once again used Spica's on the christmas balls and covered them with Glossy Accents.  Beautious if I do say so myself!  hee hee

Oh and I even did the inside - YES!!! I KNOW!! CRAZY!!  hee hee

Pointsettia Sugar Nellie

Oh these christmas images are so freakin' cute!! Okay, once again I used the sketch from Friday's Sketchers but this STILL isn't my entry.  I just love this new pointsettia Nestie and want to use it on MORE MORE MORE!  The sentiment is a rub on by American Crafts from last year.  Isn't it cute?!  It's all just CUTE!!!

Santa's Little Helper

I started out using the Friday Sketchers sketch on all my cards I did today.  I am entering one of them but this isn't it.  I'm not sure that you can see it very well but I used Spica pens for the presents, tags, bones, ball and her hair ribbon and then I covered them with Glossy Accents and wow does it ever make the Spica glitter jump to life!!  Well, IRL anyways.  These pictures annoy me cuz the paper and image are so much more vibrant but I suppose I should take the time to figure out why.  Ahhhhhh one day! :)

More Challenges

I just love this sketch from Winter Wonderland this week so I used this as my first challenge of the card.  It's one I might even use again!

Then I also incorporated the following challenges with my card:

Charisma Cardz - Merry & Bright - I think I nailed that one - hee hee
Cutecard Thursday - Glitter Me Silly - Can you see the glitter???  Hard to miss huh?  LOL!
Creative Inspirations - New or Neglected - My Changito stamp is somewhat neglected and I'm kind of glad cuz I couldn't handle winter or christmas more then once a year so it's been awhile since I used him.

My First Christmas Cards

First of all, I must tell you that my inspiration for this card came from Sandi McIver's blog.  I just loved her card and was going to completely case it, including colors but I didn't have them. :-(  I think that's what really struck me about her card and also, I figured it would be a nice quick xmas card to make a few of.  Ok, when you case a card for time & convenience make sure you have the colors and stamp of what the original card really is!!  It must have taken me 3 freakin' hours to come up with the first one of these and it didn't turn out AT ALL what I wanted it to look like.  There is something different about each card and although they turned out okay, I hope my next batch of cards is a bit more successful!  Can you see the Twinklets that Pracer is standing on???

More Magnolia Challenges

So this is a quick post as I have to get going but if you have any questions please let me know.  This card is for two of my favorite challanges:

Just Magnolia - asking us to distress
Magnolia-licious Highlites - thanks to Kerry Donovan-Casey for the great sketch!!   Enjoy!

Sketch Saturday #76

Good morning!  Well I'm just off to my mom's for the better part of the week as we have just moved and I am commuting for 3 weeks.  I am fortunate enough to not have to stay in a hotel and have the comforts of mom's home cookin'!!  It's turkey day today!!  Woo hoo!  Before I leave for my 3hr journey (not too far hey?  hee hee) I thought I would upload a few of my creations from yesterday.

This one is for Sketch Saturday and cuz I really needed to do a winter card.

And here is my interpretation:

This cute little set is from Pink Cat Studio.  I colored with Copics, added to Spica glitter to the sled, added Liquid Applique to her fluffy hood and coat then put Stickles over top the applique.  The snowflakes are covered in Twinklets - my newest favorite product!!  I embossed the red cardstock and the white nestie behind them.  The paper is from Harmonie called Poinsetts & Sucre D'orge bought from my LSS.

Mojo Monday 111

So it's been about 3 weeks since I made my last card and yes, I was going through withdrawals!!  I am so glad I had to make a card for my MIL cuz it still may have been longer yet.  Oh shucks I HAD to make a card!!  hee hee  I used Mojo Monday's sketch and a digi image from Sketching Stamper Digi Stamps.  This one was thankfully, a freebie and you can still download it here

I just LOVE these easel cards but I did spend a lot of time on it.  Maybe more then I needed to but I know it'll be muchly appreciated.

I used Prima flowers, Martha Stewart border punch, MS butterfly punch, which I added dimensional gloss to and used my Copics to color.

I also used some charms & spacers from The Hobby House (UK).   Amazing website BTW!!

AND CHECK THIS OUT!!  My sister sent me a new product called Twinklets.  Everyone is using them for snowflakes right now but I thought it would add a nice glitter to my flowers.  Cute or what?!  I can't wait to try them on some snowflakes!!  Thanks Simone!
