Here Comes Christmas

So today is Dec 9th but you won't see this post until my friend in Omaha, NB receives this one.  I just love it so I think I'll do a few more but just different colors maybe.  The stamp is a Penny Black stamp that I colored with Copics.  GET OUT!!  No!  True!!  The icicles are a Martha Stewart border punch along with some extra embellies.  I also added Twinklets for all the snow.

Miss Clause Sugar Nellie

I spent more then a few hours making this card for my wonderful sister & her fiancee.  Ok really - it's for her.  LOL!  But I'll write his name on it too.  ha ha ha!!  So by the time I post this it will be a few weeks after I've sent the card.  Now I just have to wait for her to get it.  Wait - it's still sitting here cuz I haven't mailed it yet.  LMBO!!  I just wanted to share it with you cuz it was one of my favorites so far!!  I also used the WOJ sketch for this but didn't enter it cuz ... well I'm not sure.  LOL!!  Cuz I already entered one.  Ya.  hee hee

And the inside......

Ok she just got it today and she LOVED IT!!  She's so great!

SANTA!!!! Whipper Snapper

I just LOVE this stamp so thanks to Shelly for the image!  I had so much fun coloring him using my Copics (of course) and put glitter on his beard, Flower soft on his fur on his hat & coat, Spica glitter on his belt buckle and the buckles on his shoes then topped the buckles off with Glossy Accents.  I also added Glossy Accents to the presents.  OH!  And I used Twinklets for the snow on the chimney and roof.  I hated to send it off so soon without being able to appropriately oogle it for a few days (eeee hee hee I is sic) but I was happy to be sending it to someone who will equally appreciate all the work I put into it.  Okay off to make more cards!  LOL!

More Christmas Cards

Here is another card I couldn't post until my girlfriend got it and yup she has!!! Ok I have done 1 original card for almost everyone on my list which I understand now is crazy but I bore easily!  35 cards this year, which isn't bad but I really need to make more like 4 of each to make it easier on myself.  I have so many christmas stamps that I hate to use just one!!!

A Spoon Full of Sugar: Challenge 82

A Spoon Full of Sugar offered up this wonderful sketch for their most recent challenge and I just LOVE layers!!

I was so excited when my husband came in the door on Monday, Dec. 21st because he had been to the post office and 2 of my Magnolia's I had ordered and been shipped on Dec. 17th!!! were in the mail!!!!!  Thank you Diana!!  I was doin' the happy dance because I was just thrilled to make this card for somebody before christmas as well as to enter in into the challenge.  OMG she is just so freakin' cute!

I also wanted to thank Sharon Caudle, Gramma's House of Cards, as her coloring has been such an inspiration to me.  Thanks!!!

The Sugar Bowl Challenge 25

I just LOVE this image and knew I had to use her for The Sugar Bowl Challenge.  They provided a sketch and you had to use your favorite color.  I don't know that I have one but PINK would be quite a way up there anyway.  Thanks to my sister Simone for her snowflake inspiration.

Magnolia Challenges

For this card I incorporated 2 Magnolia challenges.  My first one is for Just Magnolia and it's this sketch:

My 2nd challenge is from Magnolia Down Under Challenges and their challenge is *Stamp With Another Use*.  I chose to use Giggling Tilda and create her into a christmas card.  Check out some of the DT cards to find out more.

Sketch Saturday #82

I was working on a card this morning and getting my elements all ready to put together but then was stumped.  After peeking around at sketches I remembered that it's SATURDAY!!  And that means a new sketch at Sketch Saturday!!  YAY!!  What a good one so here's the sketch and here's my card!

The stamp is from Stampotique which reminds me of Timothy Burton's Christmas.  I colored my chipboard snowflake with Mahogany distress ink from Tim Holtz then covered it with Twinklets.  The borders are both Martha Stewart and the gem in the middle of the snowflake is from Michael's - Creative Imaginations.  Creepy card huh? LOL!

Motivet Challenge

This week over at Motivet blog, they challenge that our card be monochromatic, excluding the main image.  I find that most times I work better with a sketch so I also incorporated their previous challenge, which was this sketch.  So cute!

I never knew walnuts (which are on her pj's) were green first.  Well maybe I knew but I had to find it on the internet to make sure today.  The walnuts and candy canes are colored with Spica pens and then glossed.  I put Twinklets on the snowflakes and the fur on her hat.  What a great challenge!  It's not easy to do only one main color so that was a great challenge thanks!!

Stamp Something & Sketch Saturday Challenges

This week I am entering my card into the challenge over at Stamp Something who wants to see a Winter Wonderland theme.  I don't much care for winter but I love making winter cards!!

At Saturday Sketch they offered this sketch which I rotated to the left.

I just LOVE this image and she colors up so nicely.  I used my Copics, ok is there anything else?? I just love the richness and vibrancy they can give.  I used Flower soft for her hand warmer (not sure what that is called) and Bo Bunny flowers, nesties, Quickutz holly die, EK Success leaf punch, nesties and some misc ribbon.

Have a creative day ladies!!

Fluffles

This Fluffles stamp is so fun and I LOVE the saying!!!  I colored with Copics and all the extra white pieces, ie. snowflakes and leaves are white sparkle paper.  I added white Flower soft to the stocking and colored the gold balls with Spica gold and then added Glossy Accents.  I started out using Mojo Monday sketch but kinda got sidetracked.  hee hee

Whiff of Joy

This is a card I made for another friend but couldn't post it until now.  I just love this image and had lots of fun coloring her in with my Copics.  I did use a sketch but I can't remember which site it was from now.  All my sketches are melding into one, I've seen and used so many lately!

Sugar Nellie Challenge

Hello everybody!! :)

So yesterday it took me all day to finish this card cuz you wouldn't believe how many butterflies are in my house.  They fly by and off I go!!  Not exactly sure that I got anymore accomplished then this card tho.  OH!!  3 loads of laundry & dinner.  That must count!!  LOL!!

The challenge for The Sugar Bowl is this sketch, to use a Sugar Nellie stamp and ric rack anywhere on your card.

I used Copics to color, Spica glitter on her legging stripes, hair and the christmas balls (and Glossy Accents), Prima flowers, SU Ric rak ribbon, EK Success punchs, Cuttlebug embossing folder and Bo Bunny dp called Snowy Serenade Serenity.  It's so sparklie and gorgeous!!

Hi Everybody!

So this post is about 2 things today.  Most of us subscribe to blogs and get the image sent to our email or Google Reader.  I am one of these people so I don't realize when someone has updated their blog look.  LIKE ME!  I just updated my blog with a christmas theme from Template Mama and just love her backgrounds!

Also, some mini blog candy over at Paula's Crafty Corner and this is an easy one to enter.  All you have to do is leave a comment on her blog.  I am just adding it to my post to let all of you in on it so this is not one of her stipulations.  Good luck everybody!
