Octavia

This week on the Kit and Clowder FB group we are playing with Polkadoodle images.  I love Octavia and she's a challenge to color so lots of fun for me.  The mushroom spots were made using whipped spackle by Faber-Castell and I added some pink shavings from my gelatos.  You can see it but I also added glitter overtop the spots.  I like using the whipped spackle because it's so light and airy it doesn't weigh a card down.

So my post on FB was this and you can play along too if you like:

This week we are showcasing Polkadoodle images and this one can be found here:

There are a few contests going on right now:

or you can learn how to color Octavia and her owl friend in the animal class here: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10155299947175324&set=gm.659744924153780&type=1

Eventually I will make her into a card so stay tuned!

March Challenge

This month's March challenge at Kit and Clowder is a little more well....CHALLENGING!!  LOL!

Pick your favorite movie and create a card!!  This month we are being sponsored by "Art By Mi Ran" so I chose Flapper 1920s.  In my world, hee hee, this is Daisy from "The Great Gatsby" sending along a birthday wish to Leo DiCaprio.  HA HA HA HA!!

Again I've use gorgeous papers from Michele R Designs and this particular set is called Cottage Garden.  You can even buy these now in a paper pad.  COOL HUH?!  The post card is part of the elements collection and you can even buy inserts and much more!  OMG AND THE BUTTERFLIES!  They are cutouts from her papers too!

The chipboard heart pieces are from Southern Ridge Trading Company (HRT-474) under "Hearts, Love and Weddings".  I've covered it with pink Tim Holtz crackle paint then Tim Holtz distress stickles "Clear Rock Candy".   There's a second small heart piece under the pink puffy thing, that my cat loves chewing on so much.  (Jeeps!)

The white spiral stem is from Wild Orchid along with some flowers (Live and Love Crafts) and the grass blades were from Magnolia.  The white rose trim and lace are also from LLC.

I've added some die cuts from Noor! Design UK (the chandelier and the circle corner/die) but I also used their Art Flower with 4 petals shape and loved making a shaped card!  What a fun change!

So I hope you can join us this month at K&C for the monthly challenge and have a great week!  Thanks for stopping by!

I'm going to enter my card in the Noor! Design UK challenge, which is a sketch and to use their flower template. That was a little tricky but I think I managed.  LOL!
