Canvas piece

This piece was so special for me to make.  My friend Sheri lost her sweet husband Bill a short white ago and I wanted to pay tribute to them both with a nice piece she could display for herself.  It was my first mixed media piece that I did on my own so I hope I did the picture justice.

The buckle piece is gorgeous metal from Prima.  I think I'm REALLY turning into a Prima girl.  I may have said that once before.  LOL!  And even some of the flowers on this piece are Prima too.  Wow look at me go hey?!  hee hee!

Another Prima resin piece or - oooooo that could be a MF frame.  See what happens when you throw away the packaging?  Soon I'm going to get that clip-it thingy and just leave everything so I can tell you the truth instead of guessing.  LOL!!  See my bark hearts peeking around behind the sunflower?  Those are from Live and Love Crafts and as you all know, one of my FAVORITE STORES!  The sunflower and wheat piece is from Magnolia.

A gorgeous Prima swirl starts this beautiful bouquet out and the big flower is another Prima piece.  I also had my Gesso out and Gesso'ed (is that a word? LOL) EVERYWHERE!  Oh and look!  The "Adventure" bulb is also from Prima.

So I learned how to play with stencils and molding paste.  OH MA GAWD!  FUN!  Unfortunately you have to envision how much you need without hiding so much.  LOL!  This corner is "Mini Love Post" (TCW) and Tim Holtz "Burlap" is in the lower left corner.

OK, this was cool.  I used a piece of honeycomb chipboard from Southern Ridge Trading Company and colored it using Inka Gold "Old Silver".  After I was done I added some Glossy Accents to make it look like honey.  Thanks for that Nikki!

This gorgeous piece is also from SRTC - FLO481- so painted it white and then covered it with Tim Holtz crackle paint.  You can see some touches of some gelato on it as well.

Well I think I've explained most of what I did but if I missed anything feel free to write me.  My friend received this and was over the top with happiness.  Made my day too.  Hee!

Contest at Kit and Clowder - Ppinky Dolls

Cutest little image and CONTEST!  This week at the Kit and Clowder Facebook group, use your favorite color combo and color any Ppinky Doll for a chance to win 3 images from Ppinky Doll Stamps!  This little sweet thing is called "Flowers For You".

What?  You don't have any?  Receive 15% off your order over at the Ppinky store to grab some images using code PPINKYLOVE.

My favorite color combo is R81, 83, 85 and 89 and I've used Maja Design papers "Coffee in the Arbour".  Such pretty papers.  One of my newest favorite things is using the dies from Go Kreate because they are shaped and I really need to get away from only square cards.  I'm driving myself crazy over that.  LOL!!

Some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, which I have to admit I think I actually have enough of right now!!  Whoever says that?!!   LOL!  I added some Stickles to most of them.

This little branch and flower die set is a Joy! Crafts die called "Flower Branch and Flowers".  It comes with 2 dies and one is the branch and then the little flowers is another.  I distressed the edges and added Stickles.  Even popped in a center using buttercup Liquid Pearls but my afterthought was I would have preferred pearl.

The contest closes midnight 31 January EST.  Have fun and thanks for visiting!

I'm going to add my card to the January "With Love" challenge at Noor! Design.  If you are looking for these dies check out Tracey's new online shop.  WOW!!  I'm just sayin'.  LOL!

Cuddly Ride

Ooooo today I have all kinds of things to tell you about but first I'm going to start with these gorgeous papers from Michele R Designs. Thankfully the new VAT rules will NOT apply to her as she will be offering her digi papers via email now so YAY we can still enjoy these and this gorgeous one is relatively new called "Perfect Petals".  I can see myself making more cards with this pack.

My usual flower bouquet addition using Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and chrysanthemums from Live and Love Crafts.

I just love these frames and frame pieces from Southern Ridge Trading Company (COR-485).  In this case, I painted it with white acrylic paint and then added some Tim Holtz distress glitter.  Looks amazing in real life.

Isn't this image just the freakin'  CUTEST?!!  I was so lucky to be able to play with "Cuddly Ride" from Whimsy Stamps.  Love Sylvia Zet images!!

Well that's all I have for you today!  Have a great week my friends!
