Happy Birthday PD

HELLOOOOOOO!!!  Today I am sharing an A2 sized FULL shaker card with you.  This card is covered from corner to corner with a full plastic cover and shaker contents that can travel inside the whole card!!

I started by picking out a few pieces of paper from PD's "Birthday Fun" paper pack.  The presents are from Sweet Birthday and Big Birthday Surprise  clear polymer stamp sets.  I then layered my pieces with some pretty holographic paper which looks amazing in real life!!

The sentiment is also from Big Birthday Surprise and I just love the boldness and the font of this sentiment.

I love how these presents turned out so bold and bright and FUN!!  Just how a birthday should be!  I added some silver Stickles to the dots on the present and it really seem to tie in with that holographic layer.

It's so hard to take a photo of a shaker card so I have included this small video just to show you the movement of it.  The one thing I learned that I will probably always do now is pop up elements using 3D foam tape.  It really helps lift that overall shaker layer so the sequins get all over inside.

What colours do you like best for your birthday cards?  Does it depend on your recipient?  Most times that's the case for me.  A birthday is all about being unique so I always create the card around the uniqueness of that particular person.  It's always a winning combo!  😀

Stripes Challenge

Another card from me for PinkFresh's "Stripes" challenge.  I love that it challenged me to use my "slim fancy diagonal stripes" die because I loved it at first but then found it a little difficult to use.  I think that was operator use ... lack of inspiration or something.  LOL!!

I covered my stripes die cut using TH distress inks ... dang it I put my colours away!!  Well...black and 3 pinks is what I used but then I splattered with white and black gesso AND also Lawn Fawn's liquid glitter.

I used PF's "Perfect Sentiments", "Leafy Branch" die and "Small Butterflies" stencil, stamp and die set.  I cut an extra set of the leafy branch and small butterflies with vellum to add an extra layer of depth and I love how it turned out!

Thanks for peeking!  Have a great weekend all!
Hugs,
Eulanda

PinkFresh "Just A Note"

Sharing one of my latest fun creations using products from PinkFresh.  It's actually for their monthly challenge and this one is "Stripes"!

I've used the following PF items:

Perfect Sentiments stamp and die set - LOVE THIS set!!  Great every day sayings but after stamping the image I added some embossing powder.  I also cut 4 of the die pieces and stacked it up making it look like a really REALLY thick chipboard piece.

For the focal pieces I used the "Be Strong" stamp, die and stencil set and I also die cut another layer of the flowers using vellum and layered them behind.  I used my distress oxides and the horizontal stripes stencil for my background layer.  I also added some of PF's sliver metallic pearls for the finishing touch!

I hope you're enjoying your weekend!!  We are in the midst of having way too many fires in our province and it's a good time to be staying indoors.

Honey Pie "Just Lovely"

Today I'm sharing my first mini slimline shaker card!  I just can't seem to stop with the shakers lately!!  It's such an easy and quick way to make an interactive card.  I've used a piece of design paper  from the Winnie Let's Hang Out printable papers.  I love PD's digi papers as now since we have the slimline cards and it makes it easier to fit those.  Some mini slimline's are just over 6" long so a normal sized paper pad just doesn't work.

I've coloured up the "Just Lovely" from the latest Honeypie collection using my Prismacolor pencil crayons and have listed the combo's below.  She's available in digi black & whitepre-coloured light skintones and pre-coloured deep skintones svg/dfx file included.

Since this was a digi image I was able to add a sentiment from "Let's Hang Out Sentiments" digi collection, right beside her.

For my finishing touches I added a few silver ladybugs from my stash along with some shabby chic ribbon and flowers.  The leaves are from PD's "Super Sprigs" die. (on sale!) 😲

So are you into creating interactive cards too?  For a long time I thought it took so long to make shaker cards.  Uhhhhh NO!!  About 10 years ago shaker cards were in but I don't recall having the very think foam tape to help us out.  I remember cutting it and getting my scissors stuck consistently so I gave up.  LOL!

Thanks for stopping by!
