Digital Delights Gallery

Sorry for the blurry picture.  My DH is hunting so took the camera with him and I can't hold my Blackberry still enough!  This is my first digi stamp I've used and I got him from Digital Delights Gallery from Freebie Friday! I am so shocked how well the Copics worked.  They have some very cute images and this card goes out to my SIL and brother who have just had their 2nd baby.  Congrats Mike, Sami & Journey and welcome Meakin!

I put white flocking on the cloud and glitter on his wings.  Much sweeter IRL!

Whiff of Joy Challenge #48 & A Spoon Full of Sugar

I LOVE how my card turned out! hee hee!  Isn't it nice to surprise yourself sometimes too?  I really liked the sketch over at WOJ and knew I HAD to try it out.  Although, I will say I had to cut more then my fair share of paper to make it work right.  My image is a bit bigger then what the sketch seemed to request but it was too late when I realized that.  LOL!  I really like how many layers there are ........  it was tricky.

*********Edited after post********* I forgot to mention this is also for A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge for Fall inspired projects.  Good thing I have lists!  I just need to check them more.  LOL!

My DP's are Cosmo Cricket, Prima flowers, EK Success border punch, QK flourish punch, Hobby House charms.  Hope you like it!

Friday Sketchers 70

This week at Friday Sketchers is host, Jacque's sketch.  I chose the new Henrietta stamp from Stamping Bella.  What a cutie!

I used an EK Success leaf punch (love it!), Copics to color, Spica Pens on her hair, Nesties, MS border punches, charms & spacers from Hobby House, Quickutz cherry with glitter & dimensional gloss, gloss on the cherries on the bottom of her dress as well, OH and in the leaves & cherries in her hair.  OH yes and my CB folder too.

I liked her so much I made 2 of them!!

My LSS, Creative Accents, got these little goodies in a few weeks ago from Hampton Arts.  I feel as though I've been so busy coloring cards that I wanted to try to just STAMP a card this weekend.
I have distressed almost every edge, used my Martha Stewart punches including my newly acquired GOOEY punch, EK Sucess "sew" border bunch, Nesties, Hero Arts gems and more.

Friday Sketchers & Magnolia Challenge

This challenge incorporates 2 challenges:

Magnolia-licious Hompage - and it must by Halloween

Friday Sketchers - sketch

I want to thank a friend of mine for sending me some Halloween images (you know who you are), my buddie Simone for sending me the great witches hat charm and many others.  LOVE THEM!  The paper is Bo Bunny and I cut some of the fencing and 3'd it in front of Tilda.  I discovered you can color your flowers with Spica pens and what a dazzling effect this shows IRL.  I'm not super sure about having flowers on a Halloween card but I really wanted to use my new Martha Stewart leaf punch  LOL!!  I embossed the web onto Core'dinations paper.  It's black on one side and green on the other but once I embossed and sanded the black side, the green showed through.  Great stuff!!

Mojo Monday & Copic Colour Challenge

I have wanted to do a bubble card for awhile now so here it is!  TADA!!  I won't be making another one again for awhile.  Wow that's time consuming  Well.......cutting all the little leaves was the time consuming part.  It was hard to take a good pic of it because the light was bouncing off the bubble.  I hope you can see it.
I used Monday Mojo sketch as shown here.
I challenge myself to use the colors for this week's challenge at Copic Colour Challenge, which called for :
Unfortunately I didn't have the E07 but it didn't seem to fit with the YR23 and YG97 I used.  Love that color!
Here's a close up view:
The idea came from the BoBunny post Recycle and Reuse.  The globe is made using Bo Bunny packaging, which you can actually buy now.  I colored with Copics, added glaze to all my leaves, 3-d Riley's pumpkins and used Quickutz for the branches.  The dp paper is from Bo Bunny's fall line last year.  Hope you like it!!

WOW!!  You MUST check this out at
Ladybug and Friends.com
It will take you only a few minutes!
The new Elisabeth Bell stamps are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!

Choosing background paper

Back in the beginning of August I had received this message "Hi, I am rather new to card making and to the Group. It is hard for me to pick out the dp, it takes a long time I hope that it gets easier.  Looking at everyones cards gives me hope.  Linda W." as well as a few other comments about choosing DP paper so I thought I would just mention what helps me.

The easiest thing I can tell you is to buy more then 1 sheet of the same line of DP paper.  Here I have bought 4 sheets of 3bugsinarug "Let In Snow" christmas line.  Each of these papers are double sided as I've shown in my pictures, which now gives me 8 different background patters & various colors to use.  I can use the green, red, brown, blue and even white colored cardstock.

There are so many choices other things I have to think about when I'm making a card that anything to make it easier for me is something I'm all up for!!

3 Challenges - YIPPEEEEEE YEEHAW!

I have been wanting to enter the Sugar Bowl contest the minute it came out!!!  Ooooh I am having to learn patience!!  This workin' for a living cuts into my "ME" time too much.  You can relate can't you?!!!!  LOL!  Hey you think I like snowflakes????  NO control!
Challanges used for this card:
The Sugar Bowl - sketch & buttons
A Spoon Full of Sugar - distressing, which you can hardly see but the image is distressed and many of the layers as well.
Creative Inspirations - blue & brown (but I added pink so I'm not sure if it will count but that's okay then.)
So I colored with my Copics, added glitter to the "fur" on her coat, Basic Grey Opaline pearls, SU buttons, misc buttons, Carolees bg paper, EK Success punches, Scrapper's floss and pink & yellow Spica glitter pens.  OH MA GOODNESS!  And my favorite part is my new Martha Stewart icicle punch!  I LOVE IT!!  Want, NEED to make more! LOL!!

1st Creative Accents Challenge

As previously mentioned, I have been given the opportunity to become a designer for my LSS Creative Accents - YEE HAW YIPPEE!!! I have passed along a few cards to them but this card was their first challenge to the designers. I chose to do a card vs a scrapbook layout with my Basic Grey papers, flowers from Maya Road (shimmer) and colored Bazzill cardstock. A tri-shutter fold card!!! I thought "ooh this will be tough but don't let it fool you - it's easy!!! You can find instructions and a video tutorial here.
If you have any questions let me know.  I really had fun making this one!
