FUN TIMES!

This week at LLC we are inspired by a "Carnival" theme!!!  I was a little worried at first because I had no idea where to start but Maja Design's "Vintage Summer Basics" papers helped to get me going!

For the top of the card I used Tim Holtz's "On the Edge Star Cluster" border and stars.  I added some Frantage to a lot of different places on the card.  The balloon chipboard pieces are from Southern Ridge Trading Co.  I also added the Magnolia cloud doohickey and some Martha Stewart butterflies.  Again, a fair amount of Wild Orchid Craft flowers from LLC.

At first I was worried about what image I would use but then remembered I actually owned Tilda Jester.  There's a fine line between hoarding and a collection.  LOL!!  Well is SHE tricky to color but I think I made out ok!!

I know I say it a lot but I really do love all the laces you can buy at LLC.  Such an amazing collection!!  Gotta love those rolled flowers too!!  Yummy!

Have a great week everyone!!!
Big hugs,

For You!

Welcome back!!  Fast weekend huh?  They always are.  LOL!  This week we are all sharing the new Pion Design collection "A Day in May".  It's very neutral but that's what I like about it.  I feel like I've been making so many blue and pink cards lately I needed to switch it up a bit!

So super excited about this post this week!!  I did color some images about a year ago using distress inks but I didn't really get it.  I've been practicing more over the past few weeks, thanks to Jenny Hodges and Sheri Willshire who gave me the bug to try again.  I just love the soft look soooooo much!!  My copic coloring tends to be very very vibrant so this is a great change.  I did use the markers and inks but LLC carries a lot of DI colors.  The image is "For You Tilda" from Magnolia.

Don't you just LOVE this lace?!  I know I say that a lot but so many of LLC's laces are soooo GORGEOUS!  The name is "Queen of Sheba"...REALLY?!!  So fitting!!!  It just screams royalty!

I was so amazed that I could bend this butterfly ... not easily but it does bend to give it more dimension.  I added some Frantage to it and some teeny antennas that I'm sure you can hardly see.

And my last pic to show you is my flower bouquet but this time I kind of have a wide one filled with Wild Orchid craft flowers, vintage berries and a rolled flower from LLC.  The tickets are from the new papers as well.  I distressed all edges and put platinum Stickles on each layer.

Well that's it for today!!  Happy Monday, have a great week and I hope you get some crafting time in!!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Moment in Time

FINALLY!  I have been waiting so long to share this project with you!!  This week at LLC our inspiration is "A Moment In Time Theme".  Perfect idea for a calendar!!  I used papers from Maja Design's "Vintage Autumn Basics" collection.  One of my favorites Maja has created ... but I might say that about each new one that comes along.  LOL!!

The brown frame I have from Southern Ridge Trading Co.  A new online chipboard store right here in BC, Canada.  YAY for me!!  LOL!!  I covered it with some Tim Holtz paint and then added Gesso.

Here I've added a bunch of WOC flowers and one of my shabby chic bows and popped a vintage pearl on the center.  Also added some wooden hearts from LLC.  Perfect for the bit of Valentine's day we are celebrating today!

OH MY GOODNESS!!!  Isn't this lace just GORGEOUS?!!!  I wanted to break down the calendar into 2 sections.  One for the image and one for the calendar.  What is more perfect than this pretty lace?!!  NOTHING.  hee hee ... Well in my mind anyway.  LOL!  I used a Memory Box butterfly die and popped a little WOC flower in the center.

This image and sentiment are new releases available for pre-order at LDRS.  She's from the Saturated Canary line called "Yvonne" and the sentiment is from the "Vintage Everyday" sentiment collection.

I also loved using the clocks that I cut out from the Maja papers and added Gesso...TO EVERYTHING...AGAIN!  hee hee  I added my own calendar (3 months) and used a Spellbinders die underneath both WOC flower bouquets.

Thank you so much for stopping by!!!

Big hugs for everybody today and have a great weekend!!
