MDUC #108 - Kathrin's Sketch

Welcome to another MDUC challenge!!  I just made it by the hair on my chin.....only a few minutes left before this is to post.  I boo boo'ed and created the wrong challenge so was frantically throwing paper, flowers, paint and glue dots around this morning but thank goodness for pre-colored images.  LOL!!  Finding it was a challenge tho.  Good grief!

So!!  This week we are creating a project using Kathrin's sketch (below) and I just loved it!!  I used a Maya snowflake chipboard, painted it blue, then painted the tips white, covered it with Crackle Accents, went over the tips with navy blue and VOILA.  Fun snowflake!!  Doesn't Edwin look so cute tripping over these lights?  Hubby would just throw them down, step on them and leave.  LMBO!

For more inspiration go to the MDUC challenge blog and I can tell you there's some gorgeous stuff created with this sketch!!

I'm entering my card into these challenges:

Christmas Cards All Year Round - You get to pick at least 4 themes from the word "Christmas" they have displayed on their blog.  So I chose C - chipboard, R - ribbon, I - inking (hard to see but inked blue around the Edwin frame), S - stamping and M - metal embellishments.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Christmas in August

Papertake Tuesday - Anything goes with the option of metal embellishments.  So I did.  :)

Enjoy your weekend everyone!!

Stamps: Magnolia
Paper: Bo Bunny "Winter Frost"
Embellishments: Wild Orchid corner metal embellishments, flowers and lace, Bo Bunny lace (burgundy), misc jingle bells and Twinklettes.
Punches: Magnolia leaves

TPS Spinks and Spooks Preview

Day 1 - Zombie Kellita

Are you ready for Halloween yet?  Ok...maybe not me either BUT I did love making this card with the new Zombie Kellita from Tickled Pink Stamps.  Isn't she creepy?  And there is a whole new set of Halloween sentiments to pair up to these great images!

Can you see my bats coming out of the paper??  Maybe if you make it bigger you could see the detail better.  Love that Martha Stewart fence - one of my personal fav's.

Sentiment "Time for a coffin break" - ha ha ha!!  So I just HAD to make the coffin and as you can see there are some yummy candies inside.

Hope you enjoyed my project!!  There are previews for the next 8 days so stay tuned!  We're combining new Pinkettes with Lil Lolita's.  Some serious cuteness coming up!

Take a look a more ways to use the new Zombie Kellita....available soon!

MDUC #106

3D or Papertole

Today's post is super long and full of pictures but I'm sure you'll feel quite satisfied when you're done.  LOL!!  At Magnolia Down Under we want to see your 3D or papertole projects.  I didn't go crazy with this challenge and only added 2 butterflies that are 3D on to my tent card.

Here's a side view of my butterflies:

Part of the reason I took it easy on my challenge card was because I really wanted to showcase these gorgeous papers from Denise, a fellow MDUC member, who makes them herself!  These lovely papers are called The Couture Collection and can be found at Meg's Garden under a tab at the top called "What's New & Exciting".

Aren't they pretty?!  In real life they have a really pretty sheen to them.

Here are some more cards from fellow MDUC members who have used the papers.  Aren't they just gorgeous?  That outta feed your eyes for awhile.  LOL!!  If you click on each of the girl's names, it'll take you to the post showcasing the card with details.

Please visit Denise's Passion for Papers to view more samples from the very creative paper maker herself!

And don't forgot to join this week's challenge at MDUC, check out all the ladies wonderful projects, see who is sponsoring and what prize is up for grabs this week.

CLP Sketch Challenge #38

Have you had your CLP Sketch this month?!!  It's like having your V8....ha ha ha!!  Cuz it's good for your health!!  So just "DO IT" for those of you who are familiar with the Nike commercials.  You think I'm watching too much tv??  LMAO!

ANYWAY, I am using a Magnolia image this month...ya, I know I shocked you didn't I?  2 of them in fact!!  Thank you Cheri!  Also, I'm just lovin' these word tiles.  I could just kick myself for not buying more.  Eventually you end up having to be very creative with your wording.  LOL!

So on my last post I had mentioned that my mojo wasn't working.  I stand corrected.  It was working but it was a very looooong drawn out process - OH - MY - GAWD.  Took me over a stinkin' week to make that card....that's just not right.  But this one only took me a morning and even tho it doesn't quite feel like one of my cards, I don't mind how it turned out.  Something is wrong with me tho.  I'm just not into making cards and I hope that changes soon.  I miss it.

Enough about my whining!  I really did enjoy this sketch but I always love Chelsea's sketches and here is yet another fabulous one.

I hope you get a chance to swing over to CLP Sketch Challenge blog and check out the amazing creations from the 1st of the month as well as this mid month reminder.  OH and this month CLP is being sponsored by The Beary Scrap and offering a $20 voucher for their online store.  Sweet or what?!!
