Sugar Bowl Challenge but not really

I can't believe I just did this!! I used the Sugar Bowl sketch with a Magnolia stamp. Guess I should have read the rules closer cuz to qualify it has to be a Sugar Nellie stamp!! ROTFLMAO!! Oh well, not a HUGE loss cuz I am making a journal and was stuck on this page anyway. The sketch was a great inspiration. The DP paper is Basic Grey and the HOPE stamp is from Scrappy Cat and a BIG thanks to my friend Sherry for sending this set to me. You have no idea what good timing that was and I'll show you why later. I used gold Spica pen to top the pie, glitter dust on her wings & slippers. The brown swirls are from Quickutz & sugar-coated with Stickles. The rub-on swirls are from Glitz design and flowers are from Prima. The border punch I borrowed from my mom and no mom, I'm not done with them yet. hee hee!

Lace Skirt Magnolia

I thought I would put together the Sketch Saturday challenge as well as the Just Magnolia challenge today. The sketch is so sweet and Just Magnolia is simply to make a card about summer. I used my Copics to color, the border and butterfly punch is Martha Stewart, gems are Basic Grey, DP paper is My Mind's Eye and flowers are misc. The tag is made using Tim Holtz Fragments and I'ved added flower soft under her feet.

Father's Day

This year I thought I'd get smart and use the same format for each card I had to make. I always make 3 - my FIL, my step-dad AND my dad. After the hours I put into these I may as well have made a different one for each cuz using the same format/sketch didn't save me any time. DARNIT!! Well, if I could just learn to LEAVE them a bit simpler I might save time but oooooooooh noooooooooooooo!!! I used the Mojo Monday sketch and ideas from the designer cards for week 90. Manly bling? Well, if there's such a thing I have it! LOL!! Black!! :)

The best thing about these cards??? I AM ON TIME!! Woo Hooooo!
