CLP #48

Another lovely sketch at CLP this week!!  You must check it out and since we've picked up a number of new members on the DT there are lots of pieces of inspiration to take a peek at.  

Today on my card I've used this lovely dragon image from the Princes and Princesses Magnolia collection and she's called "Lilyrose".  I can NOT take credit for the lovely coloring.  A friend of mine, Cheri or as some of you know her as Graphicat Designs, was here a few weeks back and colored her up but wasn't going to make a card with her so I snatched it up and VOILA!  Don't we make a good team?  LOL!!

I'm a bit short on time today but just had to quickly join you to enter into CLP's challenge for the coming month.  Enjoy your weekend all!!

Waterlily Tilda

So as you may have noticed my blog has been pretty quiet lately.  I have been away but am also just taking a break from my regular DT duties (except CLP).  I need to rejuvenate the creative flow as I just found everything to be more of a deadline and obligation then fun.  It always comes back tho.  :)  Good thing because I have a room full of product.  LOL!   Sorry I haven't been around to visit you but I'll be back to that as well. 

I will occasionally post from time to time but it will be cards that I do just for fun.  YAY!  I'm trying to learn how to distress ink color and so far it's been a challenge but learning Copics didn't come easy either so practice, practice, practice.  This was my first decent image that I could actually use after about 10.  I just love the softness of distress inks.  So pretty when it's done right.  LOL!  I just need to figure out how to add some more shading but that will come.

This is a new image called "Waterlily Tilda" from the Summer Memories Magnolia collection.  I think she's one of my favorites!  I added some Stickles to the water, wings of the tiny butterflies and a smidgen on the ribbon in her hair.

CLP #47

Welcome to another CLP Sketch challenge!  This week I used Sweet Princess Tilda from the Prince and Princesses Magnolia line.  I keep thinking I've seen the cutest images with every new collection when they come out.  Now I can't WAIT to get my hands on the newest images .... aaaahhhh patience.  hee hee

Isn't this sketch just gorgeous?!  I loved using it and maybe you'll get a chance to use it as well.  I mean c'mon you have a whole month!!  hee hee .... that's me challenging you.  ha ha!  If you need some inspiration come and check out it out at the CLP blog and welcome our new members.  Everyone has come up with some amazing stuff again!

CLP #46 and MDUC

CLP SKETCH AND MDUC BANNER CHALLENGE!

So once again I'm combining 2 wonderful challenges as I will be away when this posts.  Chelsea has created a gorgeous sketch again and I've mixed it up with the banner challenge over at MDUC.  Seems they are all the rage these days and they are such a cute embellie!  This time I've added little bows at the top and some pearl Liquid Applique around the edges of each banner. 

Just a quick post today but please check out both challenges and all the cards at CLP and MDUC for inspiration.  Even I go there when I'm stuck.  LOL!  They truly do help the mojo when needed!  Enjoy your week!

MDUC #140

EASTER

This week at MDUC we are celebrating EASTER!  We'd love to see your Magnolia Easter cards and in this case I used the new "Princess of the Valley" image with the Easter lily.  CUTE?!!  Yup.

I even drew in the stone wall she's sitting on!  OMG I was so happy with how it turned out as I don't draw very often.  Even my stickmen are atrocious.  LOL!  I also followed the sketch in the Magnolia Ink 2nd edition on page 66 created by Alberto.  Nice sketch!
