Fairy Wryn and Friends

I just luuuuv TI images don't you?!!!  I made this card just for fun.  YUP FUN!!  I also made it for my sister just because...well we've been so busy that I had put my crafts away for almost a year so I missed a birthday and xmas in there.  Oops!  But she's so sweet she ALWAYS understands.  She's just the best!  hee hee

This little cutie is called "Wryn - Fairy Friends" and I actually learned how to color her from my own previous experience but then fine tuned with a class from Kit and Clowder.  I'd like to do some more of my courses and now maybe I can!  If you haven't taken a class from Alyce, I must say they are AMAZING!!!!  Just do it!!  LOL!  

I used some gorgeous dies from Joy Crafts like the Winter Wishes Circle Die and foliage dies.  The purple flowers are handmade but you think I can remember what die I used?!  Nope!  LOL!  

Circle with flower die is what I used here, a Joy die as well from Noor Design UK.  Love buying stuff from Tracy's store.  She has amazing stock!!! 

How cute are those wooden hearts?!  As usual I also used a ton of Wild Orchid flowers from Live and Love Crafts and the gorgeous shabby chiffon ruffle trim.  Luv her store as well.  hee hee

A Little Birdie Told Me

MORE FUN!  ha ha ha ha!!  This card is one I made for my SIL who's birthday was April 1st.  You almost giggle the whole time you're making these Crazy Cats or Birds cards.  I used some black wire I had in my stash and wrapped it around a thin tool to get it coily like that.  I think that's a word.  LOL!

Love this little sentiment too.  

HAAAA HAAAA  See the feather in his mouth?!!!  I have to tell you this wasn't my idea but I had to borrow it.  I saw it a few times online but can't remember exactly the card.  So funny!!

Anyway, I'm sure I'll be sharing more of these but I'll also get back to my frillies again!

HAPPY BELATED

HA HA HA!  Isn't this hilarious?!!  Ok well I'm sure I've said that before about these Tim Holtz birds and cats but I still think they're funny.  I must really like this particular one because I just realized I've made 2 cards with him.  Anyway...this is a belated card for my FIL because he was away on holidays when it was his birthday.  Another successful guy card.  Woo hoo!!

I'm happy to say I even managed to use my distress inks!!  Having fun with those!!!

Fairy Jar

ISN'T THIS KA-UTE?!!  My sister made me a fairy jar as a house warming gift!  You may have seen a few of these around but now I have one of my own!!!  At first she had some tea lights in and because she used a regular sized mason jar, there wasn't enough light.  I found a strand of battery operated lights so just dropped those in there.  LIT RIGHT UP!   I especially like how one landed so bright as if she's holding a light in the palm of her hand.  That was a fluke!!!  

Love how the fairy looks like she's flying in on some fairy dust.  Great positioning with the swirl of pearls she added!

Just love how she decorated the top.  One of her first projects she's done in about 3 years and she hasn't missed a creative beat!!  Incredible!!  

I think on the outside she put 2 layers of tissue with mod podge.  I can ask if you're interested.

Sophie's Rose and Sympathy Bugs

MY FIRST PROJECT IN MY NEW CRAFT ROOM!!!  Soon I'll be adding THAT post...of my craft room I mean.  :)  You'd think taking pics of a room would be easy but it seems to be the last thing you feel like doing after moving.  Yikes!!

For today's card I used this super cute image from Sylvia Zet called "Sympathy Bugs".  It's available as a digi or rubber stamp.

I'm not sure if I've ever colored these cuties before or not but I've had this stamp FOREVAH!!!  They are so stinkin' cute!!  I was so happy to stamp 2 of these but use only 1 and have no practice piece.  FIRST TIME EVAH!!!   WOO!!  Jeeps all kinds of firsts goin' on here!

I'm using papers from Michele R Designs called "Sophie's Rose" and I discovered something cool.  I'm not sure if it's new but to me it is.  When I printed these papers I noticed they were a bit dark, which could have been my printer but thankfully that doesn't matter!   I found a feature in Word that allowed me to change the color of the papers and brighten them up.  YAY!  Much nicer!!

I've also used pieces from the Elements 2 package, the butterflies and sentiment.  I created a tassel with a Marianne Designs die using some of the papers that came with the 6 x 6 design sheets.  They are just stunning!

Crazy Cats!!

My original plan was that I wasn't going to get caught up with these new Crazy Cats by Tim Holtz BUT how could I refuse a good sale?!!!  25% off!!  NICE!!  So between a sale and the feeling of wanting to spend some money how could I refuse??!!  LOL!!

Also, these fun characters seem to be great images to test out with distress markers.  OMG THOSE THINGS AGAIN!!  I've been so scared of them for so long.  HA HA HA!!  Turns out they're not so bad!  And far faster than Copics.  Well in this case anyway.
