Polkadoodles Holly "Hello Pretty"

Remember these from waaaaaaaaaay back when?  Well I'm not quite old enough to have experienced them but I did know they existed.  Probably from the movies or something.  This svg file, by Lori Whitlock, came across my email a bit differently but it inspired me to create this version.  The original file just used plain paper but I thought I would spruce it up a bit and use some pretty pink from the Sweet Tweet paper pad.

I started out with the fence and decided it needed a wood grain look and here is how I did that.  Stencils can be really fussy I've noticed, so I used some washi tape to adhere it down.  It helped not move around so much.  YAY!!

Here are all my pieces before assembly and as you can see I've distressed almost all edges using gathered twigs distress ink.  I printed and then cut my image using my Silhouette from the new Holly collection called "Hello Pretty".  Notice I didn't bother to color her below her skirt?  I started to and then realized you won't see her anyway and in fact, I ended up cutting off her legs.  GASP!!  IKR?!!  I almost got sick cutting into an image half colored.  🤣🤣🤣

I'm sharing this photo so you can see that you can lie it flat in case you'd like to mail it.  Bonus!!  I die cut some grass using a green colored sheet from the Bright & Beautiful 6 x 6 paper pad.

I haven't done a little project for quite some time as it's been mostly cards so this was fun!!  I don't normally make Valentine's anything but I sure enjoy the chocolates!!!  🍫  What about you?  Do you make cards for Valentines?

Thanks for stopping by!!
Sending Valentine's hugs to everyone!  💗😍

A Little Note

Just sharing my latest Lawn Fawn reveal wheel creation using the latest release.  You're Just My Type stamp and die set and Love Poems stamp and die set.  They are just adorable!!!

As you can see each typewriter window has a different message after turning the wheel.

I also used the new "A Little Note" die at the bottom.

I've colored using copics and that's fun because coloring is quick!!!  hee hee

The little cup is from Holiday Helpers ... so cute!!

I hope you've enjoyed my coloring PINK creation.  hee hee

Enjoy your day!!

Winnie Winter Partytime

Today's card is a shaker card!!  YAY!!  I've used this super cute image from the December release of the Winnie Winter collection called "Partytime".

I started out with picking my papers and how easy is a one layered card?  I can't say I've gotten away with that often.  LOL!  I'm using a beautiful piece from the Peeling Paint 6" x 6" paper pad then cut out the center for my window on my shaker card.  And YUP!!  I saved this piece for future use it's so nice!!  😂😂

I colored this image using my Zig markers and then added some extra details.  I popped a gem into the center of her flower on her hat and Stardust Stickles onto the snowflakes and snow.  I even added flock (old stash - woo hoo!) to the snowballs and flower soft (more old stash - another woo hoo!) to the cuff of her coat!!  😀

Next I added some shaker bits and sealed it all up!

I've added my usual bouquet of flowers and a banner layered underneath with a tassel also from my stash.

Another viewpoint as it's a little tricky making sure you don't get a light in the reflection of the acetate on the shaker window.

Are you still using old stash?  It's a little hard as I get really excited about new stuff AND I am a rather organized person so lots of my stuff is put away.  Well, out of sight out of mind.  😀

I hope you've enjoyed today's card!

Polkadoodles "Holly"

YAY there's a new release at Polkadoodles featuring "Holly" and she is freakin' adorable!

Ooooooo all images are soooo super cute and cute enough that I couldn't resist using 4 of the 8 new images.  One thing I love about digi's is that you can resize and add as many or as few as you like!

I've colored using my copics and used Polkadoodle's "Sweet Tweet" 6 x 6 papers.

List of images from left to right are Flower Basket, Hello Pretty, Cake and Butterfly.

I've added some of my usual Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, a chipboard fence and a super cute gold bicycle from my stash.  Oh it's soooo hard not to hoard that thing.  LOL!

Winter Birthday

Easy layering to make a card look like "MORE".....

Eulanda with you today!!  Do you know someone having a birthday in the winter?  How about "Birthday Tree" from the new Winnie Winter Celebration collection?!!

I always think there never should have been birthdays in Nov, Dec and Jan.  Poor unfortunate souls who end up with 2 special occasions so close together.  Not fair!  LOL!!  Especially as a kid!!  😣😣  It would have been fun to have a spring or summer birthday don't you think?!!   So for this card I just wanted to layer!!  I chose to use the Winnie "Once Upon A Time"  paper pack to make it a bit more ..... well, less winter like.  LOL!

I do layer my cards quite a bit but I just love the extra OOMF it gets when you add dimensional tape.

I cut some "Perfect Parcels" and layered those under my bouquet.  The purple piece I added to the white present but sigh....my bad habit reared it's ugly head again and yes, once again I managed to cover it up too much.  Ugh!

I think they still look pretty tho!  Just some bows peaking out from the gifts.

Isn't this little raccoon the cutest?!!  I thought I'd make his googly eyes even more googly so I added some glossy accents.  Is that even a word?!!  Well today it is!!  🤣🤣

I hope you enjoy these images as much as I have!!  They really are such a great idea as have you seen many birthday images directed at WINTER birthdays?!  Nope me either.  Well now we have!!  YAY!!! 😍🎈 LOL!

Thanks for dropping by!

Horace & Boo - Slurpy Ice Cream

Good day!!  Today I'm going to share how I made it look like my sentiment is made of chipboard!  😀   First to mention tho, I chose to pair up these cuties with the gorgeous "In Love With Autumn" 6" x 6" craft papers.

This image is from the Horace & Boo line called "Slurpy Ice Cream" and I used the Posydoodles Rectangles to cut my shape.  I've colored them with my Prismacolor pencil crayons and gave Horace a licorice ice cream cone.  Mmmmmmm I think that would be rather delicious right now!  I envisioned Boo's ice cream to be some kind of orange chocolate treat.  You know the chocolate mandarin oranges that come out at Christmas time?  You smack the orange on the counter and it breaks it into a bunch of individually wrapped orange segments that taste like orange chocolate.  Now that I'm describing it, it doesn't sound tasty but trust me it is.  😜

For my faux chipboard as I've named it, I cut 6 pieces of my Celebrate sentiment from Bazzill cardstock but any cardstock would work, especially anything thicker.  I then glued each piece using my glue stick as the tip is a lot thinner than my glue bottle tip.

After I finished gluing it, I embossed it using UTEE extra thick embossing powder and I did 2 layers of the powder.

Once it dried it was quite hard so you really might think it could be chipboard.  I also added the UTEE to the banner at the top but used shimmer embossing versamark so it has a bit of a sheen in real life.

I added a few flowers here and some gold leaves I had in my stash.  These leaves shape rather easily so they didn't have to lie flat like they came in the mail.  I have to be honest, I'm far too lazy to die cut leaves.  Isn't that awful?  But I normally have so much going on with my card that I sometimes think it's enough before leaves even enter the picture.  🤣  Works for me!!!

Is there anything that you create and can call faux?  I love when that happens!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
