Luscious Lace

This week at Magnolia-licious & Wee Stamps Challenge we are challenging you to use your

LUSCIOUS LACE!!

Be it cloth lace or paper lace it's still lace.  This week "Moulin Rouge Tilda" is kicking up her heels and having a great time!   The image behind her is called "Theatre Curtain" and both are from the recent "Once Upon a Time" collection.

I used various pieces of lace from my stash but I also use the Vintage Box Lacing Chocolate Magnolia Doohickey.  A little tip while using your very detailed dies is put wax paper between the die and cardstock.  It cuts nicer and helps pull all the excess paper away much easier.

I made some of my own flowers using a Spellbinder die, added some Frantage to many pieces (including a Prima metal rose) and used some gold Magnolia vintage berries.

ENABLER ALERT!!  HAVE YOU SEEN???  The new Magnolia collection is up for sale now!!  AGAIN OMG Pauline has outdone herself!  It's called SPECIAL MOMENTS and special it is!  There are quite a few new wedding images available so please check them out.

Also available now the Magnolia Ink magazine "Sea Breeze"
Join us in this ever so easy lace challenge at Magnolia-licious and Wee Wednesday challenge blog.  Also, don't forget if you comment here or on any of the blog posts during the week ANY week, you're entered for a chance to win!!

LDRS: Saturated Canary's "Tilly"

Back today with lovely "Tilly", a Saturated Canary image available at Little Darlings Rubber Stamps.  Normally fairies are not my thing but OMG SHE'S CUTE!!  Even her name is cute!

I've also used some sheets from the "Summer Sorbet" collection also available at LDRS and I'm sure I've never used more paper from one collection than this one.  They are just so easy to use!

Here's a close up of the wings I made.  I put Sookwang double sided tape on some vellum then punched it with the Magnolia "Cute Wings" Doohickey die.  When I peeled off the tape I covered them with Glitter Ritz.  They are super pretty!!

This butterfly started out as just a plain gold paperclip from Prima.  I covered it with "Shabby Pink" Frantage.  CUTE!!!  I love doing that and you can check out a tutorial on the Frantage by Tracy from Crafteezee.  She shows how to add it to many embellishments to match your card.

For more inspiration on these beauties and many more you can check out the Little Darlings Inspiration blog.  The DT is incredible!!

Magnolia-licious Butterflies!!

Welcome back to another Magnolia-licious and Wee Stamps challenge.  This week it's all about

BUTTERFLIES!

And who can ever get enough of these pretty things?!!  I really enjoyed coloring "Sitting Tilda w/Butterfly" with the bench called "Vintage Swedish Bench" from the newest collection "Once Upon a Time".  The stamp in the upper right hand corner of the image is also a Magnolia stamp from the "Butterfly Kit".  It's not in the store right now but it`s handy because it comes with 2 more gorgeous butterfly stamps.

I tucked in the Magnolia "So Wrapped Lovely Heart Folded Tag" Doohickey, distressed the edges and tied some pretty ribbons and lace around it.  Actually I distressed all edges on the card and added lots of extra goodies for the eyes.

Here`s a closer look at the glittered butterfly.

So how easy is it to join us for this challenge?!!!  EASY PEASY!!  Check out all the other DT's creations at the Magnolia-licious and Wee Stamps challenge blog.

Little Darlings Rubber Stamps Saturated Canary "Rose Red"

This week I'm showing you a very delicate and pretty in pink Saturated Canary image called "Rose Red" available in rubber at Little Darlings Rubber Stamps.  I had so much fun coloring her up with my Copics!!

The sentiment is from LDRS called "Fairytale Sentiments" but there's a great selection of many more perfect little sentiments.  You can find more wonderful inspiration at Little Darlings Design Team blog using these gorgeous images and many more!

I used my Zutter Distrezz to distress all edges then distressed some brown ink to the edges as well for some depth.  Double distressing!  LOL!  I also added some lace and my favorite flowers from Wild Orchid.
I do love the rolled flowers from Live and Love Crafts that I bought recently.  Oh and don't you just love that little spool that the sentiment rolls onto?!!  I saw it used elsewhere like that and just thought it was genius!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!!

Stamps: Little Darlings Rubber Stamps "Rose Red"

Embellishments: Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and lace, LLC's Kort & Godt Rolled Roses, LLC's Metal CornersLLC lace, LLC spool, Magnolia Vintage Berries, misc doily, cheesecloth and Prima Shabby Chic birdhouse.

Magnolia-licious Challenge

 "WEATHER WAYS"

This week at Magnolia-licious and Wee Stamps challenge it's all about weather!  I could have done something easy and made a spring card but I soooo badly wanted to use my stamps from the new "Once Upon A Time" collection.  LOL!  So I made a little cloudy western scene turning sunny and added the sentiment "Your Friendship Brings Sunshine To My Rainy Days" from LDRS.

I had to laugh when I bought "Lucky Edwin".  It wasn't until I actually stamped him off that I even noticed the cigarette.  WOW was I surprised when I lifted the image.  I literally burst out laughing!!  He was a lot of fun to color and so was the background called "Golden Creek Background."  LET ME TELL YOU it took me 3 hrs to color the silly thing!!!

Hey check out the latest thing on the Magnolia-licious online store.  Right on the home page there is a new DEAL OF THE DAY and yes it changes every day!  Items are marked down sometimes over 50% of the original price so it really is a deal!

Please visit Magnolia-licious and Wee Challenge blog for more inspiration.  The DT has knocked it out of the park again!!  The challenge runs for 2 weeks and don't forget you can use your Wee stamps to play along too.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Vintage Mother's Day

I had so much fun making this card!  I've been seeing tons of vintage looking cards lately and just couldn't wait to try my hand at it.  It really helps when you have the right supplies.  I've used some lace and papers from Live and Love Crafts called "Alma's Sewing Room" and the owner, Sandy Mathis was amazing on helping me with my order.  What a fabulous place to buy from!!  I highly recommend it.

As you can see I've used tons of embellishments including the butterflies which I cut from some earlier Pion papers sent to me from Camilla.

I even misted the image (which I downloaded from the internet) with biscotti Ranger's Perfect Pearls mist.  I can't believe you can actually see it!!

I covered the Tim Holtz bottle with Glossy Accents and then added some teeny sugar beads and silver microbeads.  That idea came from Tracy at Crafteezee, queen of vintage.  LOL!  Her stuff is amazing!

And here you can see I added some tulle from Maya Road, sad they don't sell it anymore as it's so soft and easier to work with then the regular tulle.  I added a couple of self-adhesive pearls on the tulle as well.

Used quite a number of Doohickey's, Wild Orchid flowers and the new Tim Holtz border die.

Well I hope you enjoyed that one as much as I did!  I'm off to make another one!  Enjoy your week!
