Live and Love Crafts March Challenge

I was so excited to FINALLY get a new Silhouette blade so I can make cards other than just SQUARES.  Ok, I realize this is a square but isn't it a pretty one?  LOL!!  The challenge this month for Live and Love Crafts is:

EARTHY EASTER

Sooooo I went with the blues and browns using Pion's new "Flower Frames" collection.  Popped up a cute "Tilda and Her Bunny" Magnolia image colored in distress inks.  Seems to me she's lost a bit of her color through the photo's but ahhh what do you do?

Isn't this resin butterfly gorgeous?!!  I sure luv those.  And the cute trail of wooden hearts are so cute as well.  I added gesso to .... YOU GOT IT!  EVERYTHING!!  AGAIN!  Good luck prying that stuff outta my hands!  LOL!

Here I have an assortment of all kinds of things.  The rolled flower, Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and the clay heart (which I added Frantage and Gesso to) are all from LLC.  The easter egg and bunny (I added Tim Holtz crackle paint to it) are from Southern Ridge Trading Company, a new Canadian-based chipboard company.

Ok and one more pic of my image using the distress inks.  Also, you get a better view of that frame behind Tilda from the "Flower Frames" collection.  Very pretty!

So please join us this month at Live and Love Crafts using ANY supplies and try to win yourself an online gift certificate.
Stay tuned for my new monthly challenge and winner for last month's!
Thanks for stopping by and have yourself a fabulous weekend!

FUN TIMES!

This week at LLC we are inspired by a "Carnival" theme!!!  I was a little worried at first because I had no idea where to start but Maja Design's "Vintage Summer Basics" papers helped to get me going!

For the top of the card I used Tim Holtz's "On the Edge Star Cluster" border and stars.  I added some Frantage to a lot of different places on the card.  The balloon chipboard pieces are from Southern Ridge Trading Co.  I also added the Magnolia cloud doohickey and some Martha Stewart butterflies.  Again, a fair amount of Wild Orchid Craft flowers from LLC.

At first I was worried about what image I would use but then remembered I actually owned Tilda Jester.  There's a fine line between hoarding and a collection.  LOL!!  Well is SHE tricky to color but I think I made out ok!!

I know I say it a lot but I really do love all the laces you can buy at LLC.  Such an amazing collection!!  Gotta love those rolled flowers too!!  Yummy!

Have a great week everyone!!!
Big hugs,
Eulanda

For You!

Welcome back!!  Fast weekend huh?  They always are.  LOL!  This week we are all sharing the new Pion Design collection "A Day in May".  It's very neutral but that's what I like about it.  I feel like I've been making so many blue and pink cards lately I needed to switch it up a bit!

So super excited about this post this week!!  I did color some images about a year ago using distress inks but I didn't really get it.  I've been practicing more over the past few weeks, thanks to Jenny Hodges and Sheri Willshire who gave me the bug to try again.  I just love the soft look soooooo much!!  My copic coloring tends to be very very vibrant so this is a great change.  I did use the markers and inks but LLC carries a lot of DI colors.  The image is "For You Tilda" from Magnolia.

Don't you just LOVE this lace?!  I know I say that a lot but so many of LLC's laces are soooo GORGEOUS!  The name is "Queen of Sheba"...REALLY?!!  So fitting!!!  It just screams royalty!

I was so amazed that I could bend this butterfly ... not easily but it does bend to give it more dimension.  I added some Frantage to it and some teeny antennas that I'm sure you can hardly see.

And my last pic to show you is my flower bouquet but this time I kind of have a wide one filled with Wild Orchid craft flowers, vintage berries and a rolled flower from LLC.  The tickets are from the new papers as well.  I distressed all edges and put platinum Stickles on each layer.

Well that's it for today!!  Happy Monday, have a great week and I hope you get some crafting time in!!  Thanks for stopping by!
